Mentorship - Our mentorship program is a way for us to provide our members inspiration, guidance and motivation. We aim to challenge and encourage our members with the help from a mentor with relevant experience and interests.

Janita Pirhonen — President 💫
 Janita works in Innovation & Consumer Insights Advisory at Cambri and holds an M.Sc. in Strategic Management in a Changing World from Aalto University.

 Hilla works in Operations at Rebl Eats and holds an M.Sc. in Finance from Utrecht University.

 Stella is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Finance at the University of Vaasa.

Combined with a calming yoga class, our attendees gained great insights to case solving with the help of amazing consultants from McKinsey!

A new WCN season is officially here! We’re so excited to introduce the incredible people who will be shaping Women’s Career Network Finland over the coming year.

Our new board and team brings together a diverse group of ambitious, curious and driven individuals who are passionate about creating opportunities, building meaningful connections and supporting women and non-binary students and young professionals in their careers.

We’re incredibly excited for everything this new team will bring to WCN. New ideas, fresh perspectives, meaningful collaborations, and plenty of unforgettable moments along the way.

Meet Kiia Weekström – Co-Founder at SOM ✨

Kiia’s career journey began in the beauty industry, from make-up artistry and hairdressing to working as a restaurant manager. In 2024, she and her sister took the leap into entrepreneurship and founded SOM, a D2C lash e-commerce business. Her journey is a great example of how different experiences can come together to create something of your own.

💡 Kiia’s advice for female students:
“Don’t make your vision smaller just so it feels more ‘realistic’ to other people. Don’t wait until you have perfect confidence — confidence is something you build after you start.”

WCN PRO ja BDO kutsuvat sinut inspiroivaan iltaan kuulemaan BDO urallaan edenneiden naisten kokemuksia sekä tutustumaan erilaisiin uramahdollisuuksiin tilintarkastuksessa, verokonsultoinnissa, deal advisoryssa ja ESG-palveluissa.

Illan aluksi järjestettävässä paneelikeskustelussa kuulemme neljän BDO asiantuntijan uratarinoita ja keskustelemme muun muassa heidän urapoluistaan, työnkuvistaan ja uralla etenemisestä. Pääsemme samalla kuulemaan, millaista työ eri asiantuntija-alueilla käytännössä on ja millaisia mahdollisuuksia BDO tarjoaa uransa eri vaiheissa oleville osaajille.

Paneelin jälkeen ilta jatkuu rennommissa merkeissä pienen syötävän ja juotavan sekä verkostoitumisen parissa. Tämän jälkeen siirrymme yhdessä Pilates-tunnille, ja illan päätteeksi halukkailla on mahdollisuus rentoutua vielä spa-osastolla. 🧘‍♀️✨ Otathan mukaan oman maton sekä uimapuvun ja pyyhkeen.
