Today, our community shares a bittersweet moment as we bid farewell to our Chair of the Board, Manuela Mareva-Forsell, who is stepping down to focus on her next professional and personal chapter.

Over the past year and a half, Manuela’s leadership, commitment, and steady direction have played a pivotal role in shaping IWWOF. Under her guidance, our network has grown into a grounded, supportive space where international professionals find genuine community, shared knowledge, and practical career support.

We are deeply grateful for the dedication and care she invested into building IWWOF from the ground up. While we will miss her active presence here in Finland, we wish Manuela and her family all the very best, with plenty of joy, health, and continued success ahead.

As we step into our next phase as an organization, we look forward to gathering as a community to celebrate our journey and shape our upcoming priorities together:

Thank you to everyone who showed up and brought the energy last Friday! 💃

We went from summer disco classics to traditional dances. And yes, that unforgettable moment when the entire room formed one long dancing line snaking around the bar was pure joy.

It was refreshing to simply be yourself, to chat without the pressure, to make new friends in a space that's just... real. No pitches, no networking agendas, just genuine conversation, laughter, and the kind of atmosphere where you can relax and belong 💞.

We were having so much fun together that we completely forgot to take proper photos! But you know what? That's a good sign. It means we were fully present with each other. And that is more important than photos 😉.
