Tervetuloa Rampaopiskelijoiden järjestämään peli-iltaan tiistaina 7.10. klo 17.30 eteenpäin. Tiedossa on kaikille (kyllä, ihan kaikille) avoin tapahtuma rennon pelailun ja hengailun merkeissä – eli tervetuloa laittamaan nopalla koreaksi✨

Lautapeli-ilta tarjoaa kaikille Rampaopiskelijoiden jäsenille, uusille ja vanhoille, sekä vasta Rampaopiskelijoista ujosti kiinnostuneille rennon tavan kohdata, tutustua ja hengailla. Tämän tapahtuman tarkoituksena on siis pelaamisella kyllästetyn hengähdystauon tarjoamisen ohella mahdollistaa 1) tutustuminen Rampaopiskelijoiden toimintaan, 2) juttelu ja tutustuminen Rampaopiskelijoiden toiminnassa jo mukana olevien ja Rampaopiskelijoiden toiminnasta kiinnostuneiden kesken, sekä 3) toivottaa tervetulleeksi kaikki, jotka ovat kiinnostuneita siitä ihan todellisen saavutettavuuden edistämisestä!❤️

Näillä tutustumisaikeilla siis kokoonnumme pelaamaa erilaisia kevyitä ja helppoja pelejä 🎲 Olet myös tervetullut tuomaan omia lauta-, noppa- tai korttipelejä mukaan, jos sellaisia sattuu löytymään! Lisäksi voit myös halutessasi tuoda esimerkiksi omia eväitä, m***a myös Rampaopiskelijoiden puolesta löytyy pientä (vegaanista) tarjoilua😋 Eli lämpimästi tervetuloa ja toivottavasti nähdään peli-illassa!

Helsingin yliopiston oppilaskunta (HYY) ei ole tänäkään vuonna lisännyt sivuilleen meistä monille välttämättömiä tietoja ma 1.9.2025 klo 14-18 Avajaiskarnevaalien tapahtuman esteettömyydestä, joten päätimme kerätä tietoja ja hyödyllisiä linkkejä samaan dokumenttiin ettei kenenkään osallistuminen jäisi kiinni siitä, että esteettömyystietoja ei löytynyt.

We don’t want people left out and prevented from participating due to the lack of accessibility information, so we decided to collect information and useful links into one document.

Tulee mukaan oppimaan saavutettavammasta viestinnästä ja Canvan käytöstä Rampaopiskelijoiden viestintätiimin kaikille avoimeen kokoukseen to 11.9.2025 klo 18-20. Tapaaminen on nimensä mukaisesti kaikille avoin eikä osallistujilta vaadita mitään ennakkotietoja tai aiempaa kokemusta esimerkiksi viestinnästä tai Canvan käytöstä. Kokouksessa teemme yhdessä rampaopiskelijoiden syksyllä tarvitsemia viestintämateriaaleja kuten sosiaalisen median julkaisuja ja sähköpostilistan viestejä sekä laadimme vaihtelevat voimavarat huomioivaa viestintäsuunnitelmaa. Tapaamme Helsingin yliopiston keskustakirjastossa Kaisassa. Kaisa-kirjaston osoite on Fabianinkatu 30 ja ryhmätyötila 5005 sijaitsee rakennuksen viidennessä kerroksessa. Tarkemmat saapumisohjeet alemana.

Join us and learn more about more accessible communication and how to use Canva at a meeting open to all of the Rampaopiskelijat media team on Thursday 11th of September 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. As the name suggests, the meeting is open to everyone, and participants are not expected to have any prior knowledge or experience of writing social media posts or using Canva, for example. At the meeting, we will work together to create some materials that Crip students will need this fall, such as social media posts and mailing list messages, and we will also schedule making our upcoming posts well beforehand to better take into account our varying resources as crips. We will meet at the Kaisa, University of Helsinki’s Central Library. The address of the Kaisa Library is Fabianinkatu 30, and group work room 5005 is located on the fifth floor of the building. More information below.

Tervetuloa tutustumaan Rampaopiskelijoiden toimintaan keskiviikkona 21.5. Klo 17-20 Järjestötila Ulrikaan (Leppäsuonkatu 11, 00100 Helsinki). Järjestötoimintaa rampatahtiin -perehdytysillassa ei suoriteta, vaan pidetään taukoja, nautitaan pientä purtavaa ja tutustutaan toisiimme. Tarkoituksena on ennen kaikkea antaa mahdollisuus tutustua Rampaopiskelijoiden toimintatapoihin ilman velvoitteita tai odotuksia.

Rampaopiskelijat warmly welcomes everybody to Norm break on Thursday May 8th 2025 (Torstai 8.5.2025) at 15.30-17. Hangout will be in Foyer/Lämpiö 1062a. It’s on the 1st floor of University of Helsinki Main building, Fabianinkatu 33.

The 17th Nordic Network on Disability Research Conference (NNDR2025) is held on Helsinki University Main building 7.-9.5. Attending international conference is not possible for many of us for different reasons and that’s why we decided to organize free and open for all hangout. Here we all have an opportunity to come together and to meet each other and some NNDR2025 conference guests.

We want to create a space where all of us can take a break from all the constant pressure, demands and norms placed on us. So whether you are a student, professor or someone outside the academia, welcome ❤️

Can I come if I don’t attend the conference?

Yes! That’s actually the point of this event. Our event is not part of the official conference and anyone interested in these topics is warmly welcome. Attending an international conference is not possible for many of us t.ex. for financial reasons. We think it’s important that everyone has a change to join conversations and learn more.

Can I come if I don’t know anything about disability studies?

For sure, the event is open to everyone!
You don’t need to have any previous knowledge about disability studies or research. You are welcome to just hang out and meet other people interested in disability activism and the human rights of people with disabilities. You can also join to simply listen – you are free to participate in discussions as much or little as you feel like. We want to create a space for everyone to join as they are, on that particular day.

What is NNDR2025?

The NNDR2025 conference is the 17th Nordic Network on Disability Research Conference. This year’s theme is Disability in local and global contexts and the conference is held in Helsinki, in the University of Helsinki facilities.

The conference ”invites scholars, activists, decision makers, NGOs, private sector actors, and those interested in disability in local and global contexts to encounter each other and deepen our understanding of disability both locally and globally.”

The aim of the forum is ”to share scholarship and ideas, and provide a forum for Nordic and international collaboration in disability studies.”

Accessibility ♿

The room is called Foyer (Lämpiö) 1062a.
It is located on the first floor of the University of Helsinki Main building (Fabianinkatu 33 side).
Foyer 1062a is physically accessible and accessible and unisex bathrooms are at the same floor.

The whole foyer is reserved for us and the lights are adjustable. There are also two small meeting rooms adjoining the Foyer if you prefer a more controlled sensory environment or want to have some alone time.

We recommend the following route: Enter the building from Fabianinkatu. If you want assistance, there is a lobby service point some twenty meters to the right from the accessible entrance. The corridor leading to the Foyer 1062a starts from the opposite side of the entrance hall. The corridor is located between two sets of stairs going up. After some five meters the corridor branches to the left and right. Both branches will take you to the Foyer 1062a. We recommend the left hand side as the entrance on that side has no doorstep. Either way, you will encounter one more turn and a ten meter stretch of corridor. The door to the foyer is at the end of the corridor and should be propped open. Below is the picture of the map of the 1st floor of Main building. Foyer 1062a is number 8. Red line from Fabianinkatu 33 to Foyer shows the route described above.

Come for the snacks, stay for the climate. What’s happening in the hangout for crip and q***r students with the ‘WEIRD’ Research team?

On Wed 23.4. at 17:30 we meet at Unioninkatu 37. The researchers of the WEIRD project will begin the event with a max 1-hour informal introduction and exchange on q***r and disability perspectives and their contributions to sustainability.

Disabled and q***r communities have long resisted exclusion and reclaimed space, yet their knowledge and struggles are often overlooked in environmental research and policy. WEIRD research project is about exploring how can we build futures that are not only environmentally sustainable, but also deeply just and transformative.
