The European Squash Junior rankings were updated last week. Some interesting results for some of our juniors...
Lukas Suurnäkki moves to nbr 4 in U15, and that is without the ranking points of the Silver graded Nordic Junior Open he won a week ago... on the move for even better.
Rene Suorsa move inside tge Top 20 in U13... Top 10 within reach.
Lukas Mahoney moves to 23rd in U15 with still a full year+ in U15 ahead. Top 20 within reach soon, Top 10 a realistic goal...
Congratulations to all

Glass courts have this amazing ability to create these dramatic moments... 🎬 Lukas Suurnäkki match ball for bronze against Estonian local Oscar Talts after coming back from 2-0 down for a 10-12 8-11 11-9 11-7 11-5... A match to be remembered 🧨🧨🧨

Estonian Junior Open was played last weekend in Tallin:

Boys U15 1st place Lukas Mahoney. After a disastrous first game conceded 11-1 Lukas turn the engine key on and powered himself into Gold🥇🏆 with 11-6 11-1 11-0 in the next three games against Juilian Hennrich from Germany. Mindset is essential...

Lukas Suurnäkki who normally still plays in U15 registered in U17 and ended up playing in the combined U17/19 category. 🥉3rd place winning local junior Oscar Talts for the bronze. Match was a bomber🧨🧨🧨 Oscar playing on his home turf putting max pressure and narrowly winning the two first games 12-10 11-8. A few adjustments and Lukas took the next three clearly dictating the proceedings 11-9 11-7 11-5.

Girls combined U17/19 Inga Borgström (ESRC) 2nd place🥈 with a convincing display of composure under pressure.
Viivi Hyysalo 3rd place 🥉 and first time podium in a ESF event. Again here, mindset is essential and Viivi clinched her first wins against an opponent she never won before and managed to lead in games.

Also in combined U17/19 5th place for Sisu Rantamaula and 7th place for Otava Korteniemi.

Congratulations to all👍👍👍
