We have demonstrated at the Embassy of Israel for 2 years and will continue to do so, join us on Friday mornings at 8:30-9:00/ Olemme osoittaneet mieltämme Israelin suurlähetystön edessä jo 2 vuoden ajan ja aiomme jatkaa sitä – liity mukaan perjantaiaamuisin klo 8.30–9.00! 💪🏻📣✊🏻

Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, and it has not been halted by the fragile ceasefire. Past week Israel killed over 100 Palestinians in airstrikes on Gaza. Dozens of them were children.

Israel has made Gaza uninhabitable. It is still preventing necessary humanitarian aid—such as food and medicine—from reaching the area.
We cannot stand by and watch the suffering and fate of the Palestinians from the sidelines.

The international community must do everything in its power to stop the genocide in Gaza. Israel must be held accountable for the killing of tens of thousands of Palestinians and the destruction of the Gaza Strip.

The illegal occupation of Palestinian territory and the apartheid system directed against Palestinians must be dismantled.

Original post 👉🏻 Israel syyllistyy palestiinalaisten kansanmurhaan Gazassa, eikä se ole loppunut hauraaseen tulitaukoon. Tällä viikolla Israel tappoi yli 100 palestiinalaista ilmaiskullaan Gazaan. Heistä kymmeniä oli lapsia.

Israel on tehnyt Gazasta elinkelvottoman. Se estää yhä myös tarvittavan humanitaarisen avun, kuten ruoan ja lääkkeiden pääsyn alueelle.

Emme voi jäädä seuraamaan palestiinalaisten kärsimystä ja kohtaloa sivusta.

Kansainvälisen yhteisön on tehtävä kaikkensa, jotta kansanmurha Gazassa loppuu. Israel on saatettava vastuuseen kymmenien tuhansien palestiinalaisten tappamisesta ja Gazan kaistan tuhoamisesta.

Palestiinalaisalueen laiton miehitys sekä palestiinalaisiin kohdistuva apartheid-järjestelmä on purettava.

Anna Politkovskaya (1958–2006)

Russian journalist and human rights defender Anna Politkovskaya was brutally murdered in her apartment building on October 7, 2006.
 She exposed human rights abuses in Chechnya and fearlessly spoke truth to power.Her voice was silenced, but her courage continues to inspire all who defend freedom and justice.

Since Politkovskaya’s murder, human rights in Russia have steadily worsened — civil society, the opposition, and independent media face relentless pressure, especially after the war against Ukraine.

🕊️ Journalists and activists in Russia and beyond face intimidation, violence, and censorship — yet people do not remain silent.

And we have not forgotten! 🕯️

Venäläinen toimittaja ja ihmisoikeuspuolustaja Anna Politkovskaja murhattiin julmasti kotitalonsa hississä 7. lokakuuta 2006.
 Anna paljasti ihmisoikeusloukkauksia Tšetšeniassa ja uskalsi puhua vallanpitäjiä vastaan.
 Hänen äänensä vaiennettiin, m***a rohkeus elää yhä kaikissa, jotka puolustavat vapautta ja oikeudenmukaisuutta.

Politkovskajan murhan jälkeen ihmisoikeudet Venäjällä ovat heikentyneet — kansalaisyhteiskunta, oppositio ja riippumaton media ovat jatkuvan paineen alla, erityisesti Ukrainan sodan alettua.

🕊️ Tänäkin päivänä toimittajat ja aktivistit kohtaavat uhkailua ja väkivaltaa — m***a ihmiset eivät vaikene.

Tule mukaan muistamaan Anna Politkovskajaa – näytetään yhdessä, että emme ole unohtaneet!

Venäläinen toimittaja ja ihmisoikeuspuolustaja Anna Politkovskaja murhattiin 19 vuotta sitten kotitalonsa hississä. Hän raportoi Venäjän ihmisoikeusloukkauksista, erityisesti Tšetšeniassa. Murha osoitti, ettei kukaan hallituksen kriitikko ole turvassa.

Tapaukseen liittyvä rangaistuksettomuus jatkuu – murhan tilaajia ei ole vieläkään selvitetty.

Oikeus ei toteudu ennen kuin koko totuus tulee ilmi.

Me emme unohda.

Join us to honor Anna Politkovskaya and show that we have not forgotten.

Anna Politkovskaya, Russian journalist and human rights defender, was murdered 19 years ago in the elevator of her home. She reported on grave human rights abuses in Russia, especially in Chechnya. Her killing showed that no critic of the government is truly safe.

The culture of impunity continues – those who ordered her assassination remain unknown.

Justice will only be done when the full truth is uncovered.

We do not forget.

Posted • The Global Sumud Flotilla is a powerful & inspiring act of solidarity with Palestinians who are struggling to survive under Israel’s cruel and unlawful blockade and amidst its ongoing genocide in the occupied Gaza Strip. Israel must allow the flotilla to carry out its peaceful mission safely. Any attempt to block it is an attack on humanitarian principles and international law.

The fact that activists from nearly 50 countries have resorted to launching this mission is an indictment of the international community’s consistent failure to press Israel to end its inhumane blockade as also ordered by the International Court of Justice three times in 2024.

Palestinians in Gaza are being starved and grappling with one of the worst manmade humanitarian disasters in the world. Israel has an obligation to ensure civilians in Gaza have sufficient access to food, medicine and other supplies indispensable to their survival. There can be no justification for obstructing life-saving aid.

At Amnesty, we are calling on Israel to immediately:

📢 Lift its unlawful blockade
⛴️ Allow free flow of humanitarian aid and life-saving supplies
🚫 End its genocide against Palestinians in Gaza

We call also on states take meaningful action to end impunity and uphold international humanitarian law.
