ONE LIE CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
Why is it so easy to lie? Oftentimes, lies seem like a quick solution to our problems, but what starts as something small can quickly grow into something much bigger and much harder to undo. Whenever we lie, it reveals something deeper: a heart that trusts its own way more than God's truth.
We discovered why God calls us to live with honesty and integrity.
TRUTH SETS US FREE
A lie may seem like it solves a problem, but it usually just delays the consequences. Before long, one lie leads to another, trapping us in fear, guilt, and the pressure to keep up a false story.
Jesus offers freedom from that cycle. When we walk in His truth, we no longer have to live behind a mask (John 8:31-36).
TRUTH STRENGTHENS
RELATIONSHIPS
It can be scary to be honest, especially when the truth may hurt or expose our mistakes, but honesty will always bring restoration and form stronger relationships (Eph 4:15-16).
God invites us to confess, seek His wisdom, and have the courage to speak truth with love (Ephesians 4:15-16; 1 John 1:8-9).
TRUTH SAVES
Real freedom is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. When we choose dishonesty, it reveals areas of our lives that we have not fully surrendered to God. Our fears, struggles, and problems cannot be solved by deception, but by the truth found in Christ alone.
Because Jesus is the Truth, He calls us to live lives marked by honesty, integrity, and obedience (John 8:34-36).
❣️Telling a small lie might seem harmless, but it only takes one act of deceit to lead us into a life of deception and compromise. God reminds us that a sin planted in secrecy reveals not only the condition of our hearts, but also how little we trust in His truth and wisdom.
