Mums For Mums We are local NGO based in Mekelle, northern Ethiopia. We help young, single women to gain skills training and life skills so they can become self-reliant.

Mums for Mums was established by W/ro Tebereh W/Gabriel, the current Voluntary Executive Director, to tackle the problem of poverty in young, single and destitute women, to help them to become self-reliant and to avoid a life of dependency and destitution. Over the years we have grown from strength to strength; starting life in 2001 with only one employee working out of a storage container. Today

we have 3 offices and drop-in centres in Tigray, one office in the Amhara region, 2 crèches, one centre for elderly women, a research office and an ICT centre.
