HWDO facilitated an intensive two-day capacity-building workshop on Child Protection, Case Management, and Referral Pathways in Adadle Woreda. This targeted initiative sought to enhance the competencies and expertise of community representatives, service providers, and local governance structures to safeguard the rights, welfare, and safety of children, with particular emphasis on those residing in internally displaced persons (IDP) settings, where vulnerability and risk factors are markedly heightened.

The training convened a diverse cohort of stakeholders including community representatives, women and youth group members, IDP camp leaders, as well as traditional and religious authorities, fostering a collaborative approach to child protection in the region.

HWDO successfully organized and conducted a comprehensive community dialogue training on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM), and Child Marriage at the IDP camp in Adadle Woreda.A total of 32 participants. 20 women and 12 men. actively engaged in the sessions.

The dialogue created an open space for sharing experiences, personal stories, and reflections on the severe consequences of harmful traditional practices.The participants concluded the training by collectively committing to enhance community-based efforts to eradicate GBV, FGM, and child marriage, promoting a safer and more equitable environment for women and girls.

Our deepest gratitude goes to pc for thier tireless effort to organize such a valuable workshop on women's representation and leadership in media.

Women's representation in the media is neccessary for reflecting the diverse experiences and perspectives of society. When women are underrepresented or stereotyped, it creates harmful biases and reinforces societal inequalities.

We are very fanfare to attend a valuable event launch programm organized by Plan International which held in jijiga. The program was about on gender based violance which focuses on prevention and response on horn of africa.

It is wide-spread believe that GBV is one of the most pervasive human right violation. It occurs in everywhere specialy in horn africa its daily occurance become a norm.
