📢 Monthly Dialogue with Girls Shine Group Members | Kebele 07, Dudahida Woreda, Jigjiga City

CAYO conducted a monthly dialogue with Girls Shine Group members, providing a safe space for adolescent girls to share experiences, discuss key issues, build confidence, and strengthen leadership and peer-support skills.

Through the Girls Shine approach, girls continue to share important messages with their peers, families, and communities contributing to safer and more empowered communities.

The project is implemented by CAYO and funded by the Solidaarisuus under the Small Grants Mechanism (SGM).

📢 Today, CAYO successfully conducted a two-day training for Female Religious and Traditional Leaders from Kebele 06 and 07, Dudahida Woreda, Jijiga City Administration.

The training focused on preventing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM), and Child Marriage, while strengthening the role of in promoting positive social norms, community awareness, and protection.

Through the meaningful engagement of female leaders, CAYO continues to support community-led action for safer and more inclusive communities where women and girls can live free from violence and harmful practices.

CAYO successfully conducted a two-day training for male religious and traditional leaders from Kebele 06 and 07, Dudahida Woreda, held in Jigjiga, Ethiopia.

The training focused on strengthening leaders’ knowledge and role in preventing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM), and Child Marriage, while promoting community awareness, positive social norms, and protection of women and girls.

By engaging influential community leaders, CAYO is working to strengthen community-led action and create safer communities where women and girls can live free from violence and harmful practices.
