A matter of grave concern regarding the stature of your government and the preservation of your legacy has come to a head, and it resides within the hallowed halls of the Ministry of Information, Communication Technology, and Postal Services.
For nearly two decades, the voice of your administration has been entrusted to Hon. Michael Makuei Lueth. Yet, what was perhaps once viewed as steadfastness now reveals itself as an intractable anchor, holding back the promise of progress. His lengthy tenure, stretching back to 2005, is not a testament to exemplary service but a monument to stunning inertia—a period utterly barren of any discernible developmental achievement or visionary leadership within his portfolio.
Instead of a statesman, we are subjected to a reckless rambler, whose diplomatic finesse is so profoundly absent that it has become a source of international embarrassment, making him a figure of disdain beyond our borders. His competence is shrouded in question, overshadowed by allegations of corruption so pervasive they suggest a man not merely compromised, but corrupt to the very core of his being.
His insecurity manifests in the most pitiable of ways: the employment of a political neophyte, the so-called "Tearz Ayuen" or "spanner boy," a hired wordsmith whose sole purpose is to blindly throw mud at the Minister's perceived enemies. This desperate strategy has backfired spectacularly. Rather than strengthening his position, it paints a portrait of a deeply vulnerable politician, paranoid and fearful of his own shadow, anxiously clutching his seat lest it be pulled from under him. It is the behavior of a man who knows his time has passed, and whose only comfort is found not in broad national appeal, but in the insular company of a parochial cabal from his Bor County—a circle so tight that his ministry risks being renamed the "Ministry of Buor and Makuei Relative Services."
Your Excellency, this old guard of political atrophy and brazen incompetence is a stain. He does not elevate your government; he diminishes it. He does not defend your legacy; he tarnishes it. To redeem the promise of your leadership and to steer this nation toward a future of dignity, competence, and respect, a decisive act is required.
We appeal to your wisdom and your power. Sack the old man. Relieve him of his duties. In doing so, you will not merely remove a failing minister; you will excise a malignancy and declare, unequivocally, that the era of reckless rambling and corrosive incompetence is over. It is time for a voice that speaks for South Sudan's future, not its failings.
