Forest Connect project በዘንድሮ የክረምት ተከላ ፕሮግራም በቤንች ሸኮ ዞን በሸኮ ወረዳ ሺሚ ቀበሌ በዚህ ዓመት ከተዘጋጀዉ የቡና ችግኝ ለተከላ የደረሰዉን የቡናና የጥላ ዛፍ ችግኝ እያሰራጨ ሲሆን አርሶ አደሩም በተሰጠዉ የተከላ ዲዛይን መሰረት እየተከለ ይገኛል፡፡

The Forest Connect Project has distributed coffee & shade tree seedlings for farmers who prepared coffee planting pits as part of this year's winter planting program in Shimi Kebele, Sheko Woreda, Bench Sheko Zone. This initiative supports sustainable livelihoods while promoting forest-friendly coffee production.

NABU Ethiopia Launched the SYMBIOTIC Project in Kaffa Zone
NABU Ethiopia is pleased to announce the launch of the SYMBIOTIC - Systematic learning and Mainstreaming of Biodiversity Targets for Innovative Transformation and Behavioral Change) project, which will be implemented in the Kaffa Zone, SWEPRS,.
The project aims to enhance the visibility and institutional integration of biodiversity across public discourse, education systems, fiscal planning, and private sector engagement. By doing so, it will strengthen the implementation of Ethiopia's national biodiversity and climate frameworks while promoting sustainable development in the Kaffa landscape.
A key component of the project is supporting 180 smallholder farmers, with at least 50% women participants, to establish biodiversity-friendly Enset production systems and conserve diverse Enset landraces. Farmers will also be organized into groups and equipped with improved Enset processing technologies to enhance productivity, add value, and strengthen livelihood resilience.
The project will also develop biodiversity education module to be piloted in four schools to test its effectiveness in improving biodiversity knowledge and environmental stewardship among students.
The project officially commenced with a kick-off workshop, where consortium partners GGGI and Internews presented their respective roles and contributions for the successful implementation of the project at both the Kaffa Zone and national levels. The workshop highlighted the importance of collaboration among partners in advancing biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods.
Together, we are working towards a future where biodiversity conservation and community development go hand in hand.

ናቡ ኢትዮጵያ (NABU Ethiopia) በአዲዮ ወረዳ በየጫ 52,279 በዳካ 45,337 የቡናና ቋሚ የጥላ ዛፍ ችግኝ በማዘጋጀት ላይ ስሆን በጥምር እርሻ ጠቀሜታና የመሬት አጠቃቀም ዲዛይን ላይ ስልጠና የሰጣቸዉ በሁለቱም 287 አርሶ አደሮች (135ቱ ሰቶች) በያዝነዉ ዓመት ለተከላ የሚሆን የመሬት ዝግጂት በማድረግ እንዲሁም ለምግብነትና ለጥላ የሚያገለግሉ ግዜያዊ የጥላ ዛፍና እንሰት በመትከል ላይ ይገኛሉ፡፡
ዛሬ ላይ ለዚህ ዓመት ተከላ የምደርስ ችግኝ በሁለት ችግኝ ጣቢያ ከማዘጋጀት ጎን ለጎን ለ2019 የችግኝ መደብ ዝግጂትና የዘር ማፍሰስ ሥራ በሁሉም ቸግኝ ጣቢያዎቻችን እየተከናወነ ይገኛል

ናቡ ኢትዮጵያ በጠሎ ወረዳ በ Sustainable Garden Coffee Production and EUDR Compliance in Kaffa zone, ፕሮጀክት በጠሎ ወረዳ የኦዳ ቀበሌ ሴት አርሶ አደሮችን በህብረት ሥራ እንዲደራጁ ከሚመለከታቸዉ የመንግስት ተቋማት ጋር በመተባበር የሾሽ ሞጎ የእንሰት ዉጤትና አትክልት ልማትና ግብይት ህብ/ ሥራ ማህበር እንዲደራጅ አድርጓል፡፡
ይህ ማህበር ወደ ሥራ ከመግባቱ በፊት ማህበሩን በአግባቡ ለመምራት እንዲቻል የህብረት ሥራ አመራር፣ የሂሳብ አያያዝና የሰነድ አደረጃጀት ላይ ስልጠና ሰጥቶ አስፈላጊዉን ድጋፍ እያደረገ ይገኛል፡፡ በተጨማሪም በአትክልት ልማትና የማሳ አዘገጃጀት ላይ የተግባር ስልጠና በሚያዝያ 30/2018 የሰጠ ሲሆን በወቅቱ ስልጠናዉን ለወሰዱና አትክልት ለማልማት መሬት ላዘጋጁ 36 ሴቶች ከ79,000 ብር በላይ የሚያወጣ የተለያዩ የአትክልት ዘር ቀርቦላቸዋል፡፡
NABU Ethiopia, through its Sustainable Garden Coffee Production and EUDR Compliance in Kaffa Zone Project, has successfully supported the establishment of the Shosh Mogo Women’s Enset product and Vegetable Development and Marketing Association in Oda Kebele, Telo Woreda, in collaboration with relevant government institutions.
Prior to the association’s establishment, members received comprehensive training on cooperative management, accounting, and document management to strengthen their organizational and business capacities. Continuous technical and institutional support is also being provided to ensure the association’s sustainability and success.
In addition, on May 8, 2026 E.C., practical training on vegetable production and land preparation was delivered to women farmers. Following the training, 36 women who prepared their plots for vegetable cultivation received a variety of vegetable seeds valued at more than ETB 79,000.
This initiative reflects NABU Ethiopia’s commitment to empowering women, improving livelihoods, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in Kaffa Zone.

ከፌደራል ዉሃና ማዕድን ሚኒስትርና የአካባቢ ጥበቃ ባለስልጣን የመጡ ከፍተኛ ባለሙያዎች ናቡ ኢትዮጵያ ከብራይት ጋር በመተባበር የሚተገብረዉ የአለምጎኑ የዉሃ አዘል መሬት አሰሳና የልማት ዕቅድ ዝግጂት አካል የሆነዉ የቡናና የደን ዛፍ ችግኝ ዝግጂት ያለበትን ሁኔታ ጎበኙ፡፡
ባለሙያዎቹ ከጉብኝቱ ለሌላ ፕሮጀክቶች የሚሆን የተሻለ ልምድ የተገኘበት መሆኑን የገለጹ ሲሆን ለናቡ ኢትዮጵያ ቀጣይ ሥራዎች የተሰጡ አስተያየቶችን ወደ ተግባር በመቀየር የማህብረሰቡን ተጠቃሚነት ለማረጋገጥ እንደሚሰራ አስተባባሪዉ ለጎብኚዎቹ አረጋግጠዋል፡፡

Senior experts from the Federal Ministry of Water and Mines, and the Environmental Protection Authority visited the coffee, shade tree, and Enset seedling production nursery, established by NABU Ethiopia at Gimbo woreda Beyemo Kebele ,under the project “Development of Management Plans and Restoration of Selected Wetlands in the Omo–Gibe Basin, Kaffa, and Bench Sheko Zones, SWEPRS,” implemented in collaboration with BRIGHT.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase ongoing restoration and sustainable livelihood efforts. NABU Ethiopia received positive and constructive feedback from the experts and reaffirmed its commitment to translating the recommendations into concrete actions to further strengthen project outcomes and environmental restoration initiatives.

በፈዴራል ውሃና ኢነርጂ ሚንስትር የተቀናጀ የውሃ ሀብት አስተዳደር ተግባራዊ በማድረግ የተፋሰስ አካላትን በመጠበቅና ዘላቂ ጥቅም እንዲሰጥ ከሚሰራው ሥራ ናቡ ኢትዮጵያ ከBRIGHT ፕሮጀክት ጋር በመተባበር የ5 ተፋሰሶች የዳሰሳ ጥናት እና የአስተዳደር ዕቅድ ዝግጂት እየሰራ ይገኛል።
ናቡ ኢትዮጵያ በትግራይ የተኬዘ ተፋሰስ ፣ በአማራ የአባይ ተፋሰስ እና በደ/ምዕራብ የኦሞ ግቤ ተፋስሶችን ከ መቀሌ ፣ከባህር ዳርና ከሚዛን ቴፒ ዩንቨርስቲዎች ጋር በመተባበር በ12 ውሃ አዘል መሬት ላይ እየሰራ ይገኛል።
ከነዚህ ተፋሰሶች ውስጥ በካፋ ዞን በጊምቦ ወረዳ 2 (በዬሞና ዝንጋጅ ቀበሌ ላይ ) በገዋታ ሂንግዶ ቀበሌ በዲ ውሃ አዘል እንዲሁም በቤንች ሸኮ ዞን ሸይ ቤንች ወረዳ ማዝ ውሃ አዘል መሬት ይዘትላይ የተጠና ጥናት ከፈደራል እስከ የአካባቢው ማህበረሠብ የተውጣጡ አካላት በተገኙበት የግብዓት ማሰባሰቢያ መድረክ እየተደረገ ይገኛል።
