Dear Friends,

Will You Be a Part of Our Life-Giving Work in Underserved Regions of Ethiopia 🇪🇹 ?

Today is GIVING TUESDAY, an opportunity to help us save lives by improving available healthcare services for women, men and children, living in poverty laden and underserved regions of Ethiopia.

Our nonprofit organization is working to raise $5,000 to purchase a CBC (Complete Blood Count) Machine for the Light House Ethiopia Medical Clinic laboratory in Addis Ababa.

Physicians serving at the Light House Ethiopia Medical Clinic in Addis Ababa must presently send patients elsewhere, in order to measure their number of red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. This extra step in obtaining a patient’s lab test results costs valuable time—and delays the process of issuing a diagnosis and course of treatment.

We are working to better equip doctors 😷and nurses in Ethiopia, by supplying life-saving tools and healthcare equipment for them to do their jobs well. You, too, can be a part of our life-giving story as we work together to help save and improve lives.

He will be leading the charge to oversee our medical mission work in Ethiopia, and we are thrilled to have his great wisdom, input and expertise. Here are photos shared by our mission partner, LIGHT HOUSE ETHIOPIA MEDICAL (LHEM). These were recently taken at their 🏥 new health clinic, which opened it’s doors last month in the capital city of Addis Ababa , in a local community called Addisu Gebeya.

We are working hard to help support their new medical clinic in getting the initial supplies and diagnostic equipment needed to become self-sustainable. Their mission is to provide a % of FREE medical care services each month, to the region’s most poor patients —who are otherwise unable to afford treatment or medications.

Your donations are improving lives in Ethiopia by providing valuable healthcare & support services to many underserved women, children and elderly patients living in poverty.

Did you know Ethiopia is Africa’s oldest independent country and has the second largest population in Africa? (After Nigeria)

There has been an ongoing civil war in Ethiopia 🇪🇹, which began in the Tigray region during November 2020. It has caused MILLIONS of internally displaced people (IDP’s), who were tragically forced to flee their homes.

Please join us in praying 🙏🏼 for peace to be restored in Ethiopia, for wisdom upon her leaders, for healing ❤️‍🩹 upon the land and for the LORD to help the many hurting people who have lost their homes, businesses, livestock, livelihoods, churches and schools—along with countless friends and family members who were killed.

May God open up new 🚪 doors of opportunity for those who are currently homeless, displaced— and in need of food, shelter and healthcare services.

As peace in Ethiopia is being restored, and as our future funding & ability to help reach those living in more rural & remote regions of Ethiopia increases, (with financial support from donors, and through our collaboration efforts with other like-minded mission partners) — our goal at Lighthouse of Ethiopia (and at Light House Ethiopia Medical) is to start actively serving the burgeoning needs of IDP’s, suffering from the horrors inflicted by this civil war.

We are pleased to announce Light House Ethiopia Medical (LHEM) 🇪🇹🏥🇪🇹 recently received their business license to officially open a new Medium Health Clinic in Addisu Gebeya (in the capital city of Addis Ababa. ) 🙏🏼♥️🥰The very first patients were seen at this Light House Clinic on 11/22/21, and received FREE health evaluations, as well as scheduled follow-up care. LHEM also has (5) FREE health check-up appointments booked this week for young patients. These are boys & girls who were formerly homeless & living on the streets of Ethiopia. (Thankfully, they are now being cared for by Be There Ministries.) In honor of —will you please consider making a year-end donation on our website of any size? All donations received will go to the Lighthouse of Ethiopia General Fund, in order to help our current mission partner, LHEM, provide lifesaving healthcare services to those most in need. We need your help to get a CBC machine (auto hematology analyzer.) Light House Ethiopia Medical is our mission partner in the capital city of Addis Ababa🏥. Together, we’ve been working hard to open a new community medical clinic in Addisu Gebeya. We plan to serve many healthcare needs of Ethiopians, & are VERY close to receiving the local clinic licensing permit needed. The last hurdle to cross is getting a CBC machine to provide important patient bloodwork results. This machine costs approximately 285,000-300,000 birr. There is a major humanitarian crisis and war taking place in Ethiopia. Many people are now displaced and needing help with medical care, food, water, housing, clothing, educational materials and supplies. Lighthouse of Ethiopia cares deeply about the needs of these displaced people, who are senselessly suffering in horrific ways. We desire to be a light in the darkness. Our goal is to network and partner with others to raise awareness, support and supplies. —We want to help be a viable part of the solution to this crisis. 🇪🇹🙏🏽🇪🇹 Our prayer is for God to protect Ethiopia and to supernaturally provide healing, hope, health, renewal for the people in her land and restorative aid for the rebuilding of lost homes, schools, medical facilities, churches and other local business infrastructure. Sadly, a large amount of these facilities were destroyed recently by the evil TPLF regime.
