This impactful initiative focuses on the production and distribution of reusable sanitary pads for 2,000 schoolgirls in Ambo and surrounding areas.

The awareness creation event is creating real impact among elementary and secondary school students in our community. The session helped students build knowledge that supports their daily lives and strengthens their ability to share what they learned with their peers and families. 📚🌱

🌟 Supporting Girls’ Education Through Access to Sanitary Pads 🌟

PLD Association has donated sanitary pads to Ambo Secondary and Elementary Schools to support girls who face challenges in accessing these essential materials.

For many young students, the lack of sanitary materials creates a silent crisis. Every month, thousands of girls miss class simply because they do not have access to basic menstrual supplies. This affects their grades, confidence, and long-term educational success.

✨ Our support is more than a donation, it is a step toward dignity, equality, and uninterrupted learning. The gratitude from students and teachers reminds us that this need is real, urgent, and widespread.

PLD Association is committed to continuing this work and scaling our efforts so no girl misses school due to menstrual challenges. But the demand is far greater than what we can meet alone.

🤝 We call upon government bodies, development partners, private sector organizations, and community leaders to join this mission.

Together, we can build a future where every girl in Ambo and beyond has the right tools to stay in school and succeed.

We are proud to share that our management team at PLD Association has successfully participated in the Addis Forum, a remarkable national platform that brought together youth-led organizations and young leaders from across Ethiopia. 🇪🇹✨

Our representatives showcased the spirit, commitment, and energy of Ethiopia’s young people — standing as a symbol of our organization’s dedication to empowering youth voices.

The forum placed a strong emphasis on peacebuilding, dialogue, and national unity, providing a space where Ethiopian youth openly discussed the country’s current challenges as well as the many opportunities ahead. 🕊️🤝

At PLD Association, we believe that young people are not just future leaders, they are leaders today. Our participation in the Addis Forum reaffirms our commitment to contributing to a peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous Ethiopia.

PLD Association, in proud collaboration with Ambo University, hosted a powerful GBV Awareness Creation Event dedicated to amplifying voices, knowledge, and collective responsibility in the fight against gender-based violence. 🎗️🤝

The event featured inspiring keynote addresses from two respected experts:
✨ Mr. Birhanu Mosia – Director, Free Legal Services Directorate, Ambo University
✨ Dr. Mulu Debela – Director, Community Service Directorate, Ambo University and Gender Specialist

Their insights bridged global perspectives with local realities, highlighting the urgency of coordinated action to protect women and girls. 🌍📖

A dynamic panel discussion further enriched the program, bringing forward expertise from:
🩺 Health professionals on the medical impacts of GBV
🛡️ Survivor support initiatives emphasizing protection and case management
🤝 Social work specialists and Human psychology experts addressing trauma and mental well-being

Stakeholders from multiple sectors actively engaged in the dialogue, reinforcing our shared mission to build safer, more equitable communities for all.
