Addis Ababa, Ethiopia โ Good Neighbors Ethiopia (GNE) has formally established its Alumni Foundation Committee during an inaugural meeting held at Tirar International Hotel in Addis Ababa, marking a key milestone in strengthening long-term collaboration and community engagement.
The meeting brought together alumni members and organizational leaders to lay the groundwork for a structured alumni network aimed at advancing sustainable community development initiatives.
The session was opened by GNE Country Director Mr. Younsu Kim, who emphasized that membership in the GNE community represents a lifelong bond. He underscored the importance of continued engagement, solidarity, and mutual support among alumni in contributing to shared development goals.
Following his remarks, GNE General Manager Mr. Alemayehu Mitiku presented the strategic roadmap designed to empower alumni and enhance collective efforts toward meaningful social impact.
Participants expressed strong enthusiasm and commitment to supporting the organizationโs mission and collaborating on future initiatives.
A key outcome of the meeting was the formal election of a seven-member Alumni Foundation Committee, consisting of a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and representatives responsible for Communication and Outreach and Event Coordination.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening the alumni network and advancing its role in community development.
