🎭 **A CRY FROM THE EARTH — A CALL TO THE NATION**
*By Young Women of Africa*
🕊️

They came in silence,
But their guns spoke loud.
They came at night,
And turned villages to shrouds.

The blood of mothers stains the soil,
The cries of children pierce the dark.
Fathers fallen, homes in ruin,
A future stolen, no hopeful spark.

📣 **Where is the shield of the State?**
Where is the roar of justice?
How many more graves must we dig
Before this nightmare ends?

**Young Women of Africa** weep with Benue.
We do not just mourn — we remember.
We do not just remember — we rise.
We raise our voice like drums in the valley,
Like rain on dry ground,
Like fire on tired hearts.

🎤 *To the government:*
Your silence echoes louder than gunshots.
Your delay is a death sentence.
Defend your people — not your seat.
Wake up to your duty — not the next election.

🛡️ *To the youth of Benue:*
This land bore you.
Now she needs you.
Stand, not in hate — but in courage.
Defend not with vengeance — but with vision.
Guard your roots. Guard your kin. Guard your story.

👧🏾 *To our daughters in displacement,*
Whose lullabies are now gunfire —
We see you.
We fight for you.
This genocide must end.
This sorrow must not shape your future.

🕯️ *Entire families wiped out.*
Clans silenced.
Communities erased.
This is not conflict.
This is not crisis.
This is **Genocide.**

🇳🇬 This is a call to every Nigerian:

**Defend your soil. Defend your land. Defend your people.**

Because if Benue falls in silence,
We all fall.

💔 We extend our deepest sympathy to every grieving heart.
To every family shattered by the hands of wicked men.
We remember them — not just as numbers —
But as names. As lives. As dreams.

This is our cry. This is our call.
From the heart of Africa’s daughters:

**Wake up, Nigeria. The time is now.**

*"June 12: YWOA Nigeria Chapter Celebrates Democracy Day"*

Today, Young Women of Africa (YWOA) Nigeria Chapter extends warm felicitations to the people of Nigeria as the nation commemorates its Democracy Day.

This significant day marks the anniversary of Nigeria's transition to democratic rule on June 12, 1999, a milestone that has shaped the country's journey towards progress and development.

As we celebrate this momentous occasion, I would like to express heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his remarkable achievements in rebranding Nigeria to greater heights.

Under his leadership, our nation has witnessed significant transformations that showcase its beauty and potential to the world. President Tinubu's efforts have not only enhanced Nigeria's global reputation but also inspired a renewed sense of hope and patriotism among citizens. His vision, dedication, and tireless efforts in driving progress and development in our country are truly commendable.

I also take this opportunity to hail the resilience and determination of Nigerians, who have continued to demonstrate their commitment to democracy despite the challenges that come with it. The nation's leaders have made notable efforts in promoting democratic values and principles, and I commend them for their dedication to the growth and development of our country.

As we move forward, I urge Nigerians to continue embracing the democratic process, promoting unity, and working together to build a brighter future for the country.

As the Country Head of YWOA in Nigeria, I reaffirm our commitment to empowering women and girls and promoting their participation in governance and decision-making processes.

We believe that the involvement of women in leadership positions is crucial to the development and progress of our nation.

As Nigeria celebrates its Democracy Day, I pray for the nation's continued peace, prosperity, and progress. May we continue to work together towards a brighter future for all Nigerians.
