Youth-Led Adaptive Innovation Solution Labs A joint initiative by TaYA and UNFPA Ethiopia
Are you a youth innovator, startup founder, organization, innovation lab, or community initiative with a solution that already works? We are looking for you.

We want existing, operational solutions that can be adapted to contribute to reducing teenage pregnancy in Ethiopia.

Three winning solution labs will receive:

✅ Seed funding
✅ Technical mentorship
✅ Linkage with the Ministry of Health Ethiopia
✅ National visibility and promotion

Youth Taking a Stand to End FGM

In Jijiga, a youth-led advocacy event brought together diverse stakeholders to address Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM) through dialogue, evidence, and collective action.

Led by AfriYAN Ethiopia in collaboration with TaYA, the platform amplified youth voices, unpacked the realities of FGM, and strengthened coordinated responses.

Ending FGM requires open dialogue, and youth are leading the way.

AfriYAN Ethiopia (Sidama Chapter), the Sidama Regional Youth Association, and TaYA came together to host a powerful Youth Summit in Hawassa, focusing on meaningful youth engagement in health and peace.

Young people, government officials, and key partners sat at one table to discuss SRHR, peacebuilding, and youth leadership. Real conversations were had, strong connections were built, and youth-led solutions came to life.

Together, we are lifting youth voices, forming real partnerships, and pushing for lasting change in health and peace.

🕊️ Rest in Power, Ambassador Konjit Sinegiorgis.
At a time when women were rarely seen in diplomacy, she showed up anyway. She stayed for over 53 years. She rose to the very top. And she did it all with grace and purpose.

For every young woman who has ever been told the room is not for her, Ambassador Konjit's life is the answer.
Her story is not just history. It is a reminder of what young women are capable of when they are given the chance to rise.

Our hearts are with her family and loved ones. May her incredible legacy bring you comfort and pride.
