Invest in a woman. Change a generation." 🌱

At Selam Children's Village, our Women Economic Empowerment Program is actively transforming lives. By providing comprehensive business skills training and start-up capital, we are equipping resilient women to launch and grow their own Income Generating Activities (IGAs).

When mothers and women succeed in building their own businesses, families thrive and entire communities are lifted up.

As we celebrate our 40th Anniversary, we are proud to continue this vital work alongside our incredible partners.

Join us in honoring the past and inspiring the future!

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Ethio telecom has donated 2 Million Birr to Selam Children's Village as part of the Ethiopian New Year celebration! 🎉

Ethio telecom has always been a true partner to our village. From their yearly donations of exercise books that put smiles on our students' faces, to empowering our fundraising efforts through the incredible telebirr platform, their support means the world to us.

🌟 Where Are They Now? 🌟

Meet Hana Nigussie, a proud fruit of Selam Children's Village and now a B-Level Trainer helping shape the next generation! 🔧🚜

Hana’s journey with us began when she was just 11 years old. With a foundation to dream big, she boldly defied gender stereotypes by enrolling in Heavy-Duty Vehicles and Earth Moving Machineries Maintenance at Selam TVC.

Her journey was not without challenges. After breaking her arm during a grueling training session, many urged her to switch to an "easier" path. Her response? She refused to quit and eventually graduated with Great Distinction! 🎓✨

After gaining hands-on experience maintaining Scania trucks out in the industry, Hana returned to her roots. For the past eight years, she has been mentoring our trainees, shaping them into the competent, resilient professionals of tomorrow.

Let's celebrate Hana's incredible resilience and dedication! Drop a ❤️ in the comments to show your support.

🌸 DIGNITY IS NOT A LUXURY. IT IS A RIGHT.

At Selam Children's Village, our Hygiene Kit Support Program provides sanitary materials to school-age girls so that lack of hygiene kit is never a reason a girl misses school.

This program has kept hundreds of girls in class. It has protected their dignity. It has said: you matter.

300+ girls supported with hygiene kits each year.
