ISHDO is proud to announce the successful completion of a five-day national workshop on the development of the Integrated HIV, TB, and Malaria (HTM) Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) Implementation Guide and Data Collection Tool, held from April 14–18, 2026, in Bishoftu at IVY Hotel.
The workshop convened senior experts and key stakeholders from the Ministry of Health (MoH), including CE PHC LEO, the State Minister’s Health Service and Program Wing, HIV Prevention and Control LEO, and HIV Care and Treatment, alongside representatives from CCM, HDAMA, CCRDA, NEP+, and ISHDO. This strategic initiative was organized by ISHDO in close collaboration with consortium partners CCRDA, NEP+ and HDAMA.
The event featured keynote and opening remarks from distinguished and honorable leaders, including his excellency Mr. Fikadu Yadeta (HAPCO LEO), Mr. Aklilu Nega (ISHDO Executive Director), Mr. Kassahun Tadesse (NEP+ Executive Director), and Mr. Haile Ayana, delegate of the State Minister for Health Service and Program Wing, who highlighted the workshop’s objectives and expected outcomes.
Over the five days, participants engaged in intensive technical discussions and collaborative work sessions, successfully achieving the workshop’s objectives. The development of this integrated HTM CLM Implementation Guide and data collection tool marks a significant milestone in strengthening community systems, enhancing accountability, and improving the quality and accessibility of health services in Ethiopia.

ERKPP–ISHDO successfully celebrated International Condom Day 2026 on February 13 in Addis Ababa in close collaboration with the Addis Ababa AHF team, conduct activities at Nifas Silk-Lafto #2 Health Center, Geneme GF DIC, and Bole DIC. The event was led by Community Nurses, ERKPP Peer Leaders, DIC staff, and Health Center providers across the three community sites, focusing on strengthening awareness and promoting correct and consistent condom use for HIV and STI prevention among key and priority populations. Together, we continue to advance HIV prevention efforts and protect our communities.

Brief update on the SALP round 1 teachers' training ( Feb.2 to 6). remarks and directions from Ato Tafesse, Deputy Head of the Sudama Region Education Bureau. A welcome speech was delivered by the ISHODo Program Manager and Ato Desalegn, Director of Planning and Development at the Sidama Region Education Bureau. The training involves 71 SALP teachers from four districts (Dale, Wonsho, Leku, Yergalem), 8 Wereda Education Office experts, and 5 SREB officials and experts. The Family Focused HIV Prevention, Care, and Treatment Services (FFHPCTS) FY25 Annual and FY26 Q1 Performance Review Meeting was held on January 22–23, 2026, in Adama, bringing together 92 participants from ISHDO, MOH, Oromia and Gambella Health Bureaus, health facilities, and implementing partners.
The meeting reviewed the FY25 and FY26 Q1 performance against the target, shared best practices, discussed key challenges, and set priorities for the FY26 nine-month work plan. Leadership from ISHDO and MOH emphasized strong partnerships, resilience, and continued commitment to sustaining HIV services.
Panel discussions and experience sharing highlighted the importance of strengthened facility–community collaboration, peer support groups, and improved data sharing. The meeting concluded with agreed action points and a renewed commitment to achieving the 95-95-95 targets through integrated, community-centered approaches

A productive meeting was held to discuss the signed Trilateral MoU between Friends for Children (FFC), Integrated Service on Health and Development Organization (ISHDO), and Ayalu Marta and Their Friends Soap and Detergent Manufacturing. Through this collaboration, beneficiaries aged 18+ will receive training in detergent product manufacturing.
