We spent a marvellous time at Chencha. Women in SHGs have done a lot to consider as a lesson for women coming from Zimbabwe. The SHGs make every one astonished all the time with their hardworking, love and integrity.

Life has become very challenging for the families' children who attended Entoto Hope Kindergarten. As Easter Sunday is celebrated on Sunday, HCE-RDA offered wheat flour and edible oil to the families to share the severe burden and to create a joyous holiday. They are extremely grateful for the support and expressed their sincere gratitude for partners who shared what they have.

HCE-RDA offered 400,000 eth birr to Gamo Zone delegates, Gacho Baba District officials, and Mazo Doyesha Kebele representatives. A devastating natural calamity, a landslide, claimed the lives of 125 community members including women, children, and older people. As the calamity proceeded to destroy houses, cattle and agricultural areas, many more people were forced to relocate. The donation was fully funded by the Church of Sweden, Svenskay Kyrkan Helsingborg, HCE-RDA's long term partner. The vice municipal administration of the Gamo Zone expressed his concern over the incident and his gratitude to all contributed. The elderly in the community also conveyed their thought and worries, as well as passing on thier blessings. HCE-RDA and Svenska Kyrkan conveyed their heartfelt condolences on the passing of the community members.
