The Children’s Heart Fund of Ethiopia (CHFE) was established in 1989 G.C. as a non-governmental and charitable organization focused on helping children with congenital heart disease being the first organization to provide pediatric open-heart surgery and still the sole provider of the service in Ethiopia.

We are celebrating a massive milestone at the CHFE Cath Lab! This past week, our local team collaborated with Medaction Bambini team, led by Dr. Micol Rebonat successfully performed 24 life-saving procedures.

But the impact goes even deeper—this marks their 7th mission to Ethiopia, bringing their total to over 100 patients treated through minimally invasive catheterization! 🇪🇹🤝🇮🇹

From the first mission to the 100th patient, this partnership has been a beacon of hope for Ethiopian families. Thank you, Dr. Rebonato and the entire Medaction Bambini team, for your tireless dedication and for hitting this amazing mark with us!

We are thrilled to share the incredible work happening in our Cath Lab at CHFE, thanks to our wonderful collaboration with the Medaction Bambini team, led by the brilliant Dr. Micol Rebonato.

Unlike open-heart surgery, Cath Lab procedures are minimally invasive - allowing our brave little patients to heal faster, experience less pain, and get back to being kids sooner!

A heartfelt moment worth remembering ❤️

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Eyob Hope Foundation for their generous support to the Children’s Heart Fund of Ethiopia (CHFE). Through the donation of over $50,000 worth of essential medical consumables including oxygenators, tubing sets, and hemofilters, more children will now have access to the life-saving heart surgeries they urgently need.

Every contribution brings hope, healing, and a second chance at life for countless children and families.
