🌍 Leave No Youth Behind – Five Years of Impact & Partnership! 💙🧡

On September 3, 2026, we joined the SOS Children’s Villages – Leave No Youth Behind Project Five-Year Impact Forum at the Addis Ababa Marriott Executive Apartments & Hotel, bringing together government representatives, NGO partners, DANIDA officials, and other key stakeholders.

The forum was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate five years of impact and reflect on the progress made in creating opportunities for young care leavers and vulnerable youth.

In his opening remarks, H.E. Sahlemariam Abebe, Multi-Country Director, emphasized the importance of continued investment in young people and strong partnerships that create sustainable opportunities.

H.E. Mr. Shakar Arbab, representing SOS Children’s Villages Denmark, highlighted the project’s achievements, contribution, and the importance of continuing to support young people toward independence and a brighter future.

Representatives from the Ministry of Women and Social Affairs also recognized the project’s achievements and its contribution to youth empowerment, social protection, and sustainable development in Ethiopia.

🏆 Celebrating a Remarkable Recognition! 🏆

On behalf of the Selam Fruits Association (SFA) Board, we are honored to celebrate and congratulate Mrs. Tsehay Röschli (Eteye) on receiving this well-deserved recognition from the FDRE Technical and Vocational Training Institute (FDRE TVT Institute). 🇪🇹❤️

This recognition is a meaningful tribute to her extraordinary humanitarian contribution, lifelong commitment to empowering children and young people, and transformative role in advancing technical and vocational education in Ethiopia.

Her journey of service continues to inspire generations, including young care leavers and youth who are building their own paths toward independence, dignity, and meaningful livelihoods.

Kinfe is a proud care leaver from Selam Children's Village. One of the greatest sources of joy and pride in his life is being a product of Selam and everything it has given him.

Selam provided him with far more than food, clothing, shelter, and education. It gave him the foundation for life and shaped the person he is today. Most importantly, through his beloved mother, Eteye Tsehay, he learned the true meaning of kindness, compassion, generosity, and caring for others. These values have become the guiding principles of my life.

Today, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer of an organization in Angola. He is also happily married and blessed to be the father of four wonderful children. Every achievement in his life reflects the strong foundation that Selam Children's Village helped build.

His heartfelt wish is to see Selam Children's Village continue to grow and transform the lives of many more children for generations to come. He is deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this remarkable mission.

Today, he works as a General Mechanic, applying his technical skills to maintain and repair machinery while contributing to his workplace and community.
