Ethiopian Wildlife and Natural History Society (EWNHS) is an indigenous non-profit organization founded in 1966, registered under the Charities and Societies Agency as Ethiopian Resident Charity in 2009. It is an oldest conservation institute that advocates for the wise use of natural resources, conservation of biodiversity, protection of environment, environmental education, awareness and communi

ty outreach and monitoring and research. EWNHS as Birdlife International partner and member in Ethiopia, it also shares the mission of saving species, protecting sites, conserving habitats and empowering and improving the livelihoods of people. The organization fosters to support the government efforts in conservation through provision of advice, hard data, best practice guidance, disseminating of environmental issues, networking, advocacy, collaboration and proactively engaging in conservation projects.
