(ዘ-ሐበሻ ዜና) በዓለም አቀፉ የ'ሚስ ወርልድ' 2025 የቁንጅና ውድድር ላይ አፍሪካን ወክላ አንደኛ እንዲሁም ከዓለም ሁለተኛ ደረጃን በማግኘት ደማቅ ታሪክ የሠራችው ታዋቂዋ ኢትዮጵያዊት ሞዴል ሀሴት ደረጄ፣ የተባበሩት መንግሥታት የሕዝብ ፈንድ (UNFPA) የኢትዮጵያ ወጣቶች ሻምፒዮን እና አምባሳደር በመሆን መሾሟን ይፋ አደረገች።

ዓለም አቀፍ ዕውቅናን ካገኘችበት የቁንጅና ውድድር ስኬቷ በኋላ ላለፉት ወራት ማህበራዊ ኃላፊነቷን እያሰፋች የምትገኘው ሀሴት፣ ይህን ሹመት አስመልክታ ባስተላለፈችው መልእክት፣ ኃላፊነቱ ከግል ማንነቷ የላቀ እና ከማዕረግም ባለፈ ለሴቶች፣ ለወጣቶች እንዲሁም ሊሰሙ፣ ሊጠበቁ እና ሊበቁ ለሚገባቸው ድምጾች የመቆም ትልቅ አደራ መሆኑን ገልጻለች።

አዲሲቷ አምባሳደር በቆይታዋ በዋናነት በስነ-ተዋልዶ ጤና እና መብቶች ዙሪያ ግንዛቤ በመፍጠር፣ ማህበራዊ እሴቶችን እና የተሳሳቱ ልማዶችን በመሞገት እንዲሁም ማህበረሰቡ ውስጥ ትርጉም ያለው ለውጥ በሚያመጡ ጉዳዮች ላይ በንቃት እንደምትሰራ አስታውቃለች። ወደዚህ አዲስ ኃላፊነት መግባቷ እውነተኛ ተጽዕኖ ፈጣሪነት፣ ዓላማ እና የተግባር ለውጥ የሚታይበት እንደሆነም አብራርታለች።

ሀሴት ደረጄ ለተጣለባት እምነት እና ኃላፊነት ጥልቅ ምስጋናዋን አቅርባ፣ ይህ ሹመት የትልቅ ለውጥ እና ጉዞ ጅማሮ ብቻ መሆኑን ለዘ-ሐበሻ ባጋራቸው የጽሁፍ መልዕክት አረጋግጣለች።

Miss World Africa Hasset Dereje has been appointed Youth Champion and Ambassador for UNFPA Ethiopia.

The 72nd Miss World 1st runner-up says she is stepping into “something bigger than myself,” dedicated to empowering women, youth, and marginalized voices.

In her new role, she will champion sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, and youth development while working to challenge harmful social norms.
