2019 E.C. Year of Restoration & Rebuilding!

As we step into a year of restoration and rebuilding, Safe Light Initiatives is moving forward with a renewed focus to Restore & Rebuild - What Matters & What’s Next.

For us, restoring means staying rooted in the core values, culture, and purpose that give our work true meaning. Rebuilding is about taking those lessons to construct stronger foundations, deepen our commitment, and push the boundaries of what we can achieve together.

What Matters keeps our hearts anchored in the community and the real lives we impact every day. What’s Next challenges us to step into new possibilities, expand our reach, and drive lasting change.
Here’s to a purposeful, impactful, and transformative year ahead.

Leadership Seminar | Learning, Leading & Growing

Yesterday, Safe Light Initiatives hosted a Leadership Seminar at Venue 90, Addis Ababa, bringing together students from the Executive Leadership Masterclass Cohorts 1–12 for an engaging learning experience.

Led by Amb. Sileshi Umer, the seminar featured five principles from “The 15 Principles of Emerging Leaders” his upcoming book:
Leading with a Clear Vision | Living in Excellence | Being Surrounded by Good and Matured Counselors | Growing in Subtle | Institutionalizing Your Leadership

The session offered practical reflections on leadership, personal growth, decision-making, and the importance of building leadership that creates a lasting impact. Beyond the learning, participants had the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and build meaningful networks. It was a valuable opportunity to learn, connect, reflect, and grow as emerging leaders.

Applications are now open for Executive Leadership Masterclass – Cohort 13.
