📢 Sexual and Reproductive Health Communication & VCAT Training
Today, Ethiopian Women’s Development Organization (EWDO) conducted a one-day Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Communication and VCAT (Values Clarification and Attitude Transformation) Training as part of its Youth-Led Digital Narrative Change Campaign to Promote Evidence-Based SRHR Information and Positive Public Dialogue in Ethiopia, in partnership with EngenderHealth.
The training provided a safe, inclusive, and interactive space for participants to explore different values, beliefs, attitudes, and perspectives surrounding pregnancy termination. Through practical VCAT exercises and dialogue, participants strengthened their ability to communicate on sensitive reproductive health issues with empathy, respect, accuracy, and without stigma or judgment.
Participants also explored common misinformation and communication challenges, including potential backlash and negative narratives, and discussed practical approaches to developing clear, evidence-based, audience-focused, and stigma-free messages that can contribute to more informed and respectful public conversations.
🌱 Through this project EWDO is committed to supporting youth-led digital narrative change, promoting access to accurate and evidence-based reproductive health information, challenging harmful misinformation and stigma, and creating space for positive, informed, and respectful public dialogue.
🤝 EWDO remains committed to advancing women’s rights, dignity, health, and inclusive social transformation.
