Wycliffe Ethiopia Engages at the EvaSUE National Mission Summit 2026
Wycliffe Ethiopia was honored to participate in the EvaSUE National Mission Summit, where nearly 600 student leaders from public and private higher education institutions across Ethiopia gathered to be equipped for mission. The summit provided a valuable opportunity to connect with students from diverse language communities and introduce Wycliffe Ethiopia's vision of making God's Word accessible in every heart language. The students learned about the various mission fields that are active in Ethiopia, in what areas they can pray for these ministries, and also gained an understanding of how God is working in Ethiopia through various ministries.
Throughout the summit, Wycliffe Ethiopia's exhibition booth attracted students eager to learn more about Bible translation, mission opportunities, ministry training, and the resources available for their churches and communities. A highlight was the demonstration of the Proclaimer, an audio Scripture device. Hearing Scripture in their own languages deeply moved many students, who recognized its value for evangelism, especially in oral communities. The emotional response to God's Word in their heart language was a powerful reminder of the transformative impact of Bible translation.
