The National TB Coalition Roadmap Development Workshop Successfully Conducted
The National TB Coalition Ethiopia Roadmap Development Workshop was successfully conducted over three days, with Love in Action Ethiopia (LIAE) serving as the lead organization in facilitating and coordinating the development process.
The workshop brought together key stakeholders from the national TB response, including Ministry of Health (MoH) delegates, TB survivor representatives, and civil society organizations (CSOs) working in TB prevention and control.
The initiative was supported through the Global Fund TB Project, which contributed to advancing the collaborative roadmap development process and strengthening stakeholder engagement.
The workshop primarily focused on strengthening the national TB response, with particular emphasis on community-led and community-based interventions, while enhancing the meaningful engagement of TB survivors and CSOs.
The resulting roadmap is intended to provide a coordinated framework for strengthening community engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and the role of affected communities in advancing TB prevention, care, advocacy, and accountability in Ethiopia.

HIV Prevention, Counseling, and Testing at Gog SNU
Grassroots outreach is fundamental to achieving high-impact public health outcomes. Love in Action Ethiopia (LIAE) continues its efforts to create demand and expand access to essential health services across the Gambella region.
During our recent session at Gog SNU, our team delivered tailored HIV prevention education, pre- and post-test counseling, and voluntary HIV testing. By decentralizing services and building strong local trust, LIAE ensures that key prevention tools reach every segment of the population.

Empowering Communities Through Economic Opportunities
At Love in Action Ethiopia, we believe economic empowerment starts by creating opportunities for people to produce, access markets, connect with customers, and build sustainable livelihoods.
The 13th “Arefa in Worabe” Trade Fair and Bazaar in Central Ethiopia brought together producers, businesses, and consumers, creating valuable opportunities for market access and affordable goods.
The regional Trade and Market Development Bureau highlighted the importance of strengthening production, productivity, and market linkages. With 33 bazaars held across the region over the past nine months, these initiatives are contributing to stronger local businesses and community economies.
Through our Economic Empowerment Project, funded by BMZ/KKS, Love in Action Ethiopia remains committed to walking alongside communities and turning opportunities into lasting change.

Bringing Maternal Care Closer to Mothers in Habro Woreda
Healthy pregnancies begin with access to the right information, early care, and practical support.
Under the MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience (MIHR) Project, funded by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI), Love In Action Ethiopia (LIAE) conducted integrated Pregnant Women Conferences (PWCs) in Habro Woreda, bringing essential maternal and nutrition services together in a single community event.
Two sessions reached 100 pregnant women and caregivers, providing counseling on birth preparedness, pregnancy danger signs, antenatal care, and skilled delivery.
The conferences also included portable ultrasound screening, allowing midwives to identify gestational age, fetal presentation, and possible high-risk pregnancies. Women requiring further care were counseled and referred for appropriate follow-up.
To strengthen maternal and child nutrition, participants also took part in a practical cooking demonstration using locally available and affordable ingredients, turning nutrition messages into practical household skills.
By combining maternal health education, early pregnancy screening, referral, and practical nutrition support in one community platform, LIAE is helping improve access to and utilization of quality MNCH-N services in Habro Woreda.

Strengthening Health Resilience in West Hararghe
Under the MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience (MIHR) Project, funded by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI), Love In Action Ethiopia (LIAE) implemented key interventions across Habro and Daro Labu woredas in West Hararghe Zone to strengthen community health systems.
To enhance emergency preparedness, RCCE training equipped local focal points with skills in disease surveillance, rumor management, and outbreak response. Integrated Pregnant Women Conferences promoted maternal and child health through birth preparedness counseling, portable ultrasound screenings, and nutrition demonstrations.
To improve primary healthcare utilization and governance, Health Post Open House events and orientation sessions for Health Extension Workers (HEWs) and Village Health Leaders (VHLs) strengthened community engagement and trust in local health services.
In addition, a Referral Audit and Review Meeting at Gelemso Hospital addressed referral challenges and established bimonthly accountability audits to improve patient care pathways.
Through these efforts, LIAE continues to strengthen healthcare access, quality, and resilience across the Oromia Region.
