Horizon of Development Actors HDA is governed by a governing board of directors with seven members as its supreme governing organ.

Horizon of Development Actors (HAD), is a National Civil Society Organization founded in 2021 with theestablished with the objective of contributing towards the overall national growth and

development efforts through comprehensive and inclusive program interventions that promotes the country’s peace and prosperity.HAD is legally registered as per the new civil society organization Proclamation by the Ethiopian government bearing a registration number of 5728. It has a secretariat headed by an Executive Director who is assigned by the board and responsible for the day-to-day operation of the organization with a management team of program Managers. To reach the larger community of Ethiopia, HDA is planning to work on six core thematic program intervention areas. These are: Indigenous knowledge Development and Cultural Heritage Preservation program; Job Creation/employment opportunity, Livelihood diversification and food security (Economic Empowerment) Program; Peace Program (Promotion of peaceful co-existence and social cohesion) Program; Promotion of Quality Education Program (With the special focus on Basic education and Alternative Education for out of school youths and women); Gender and Development (Women, girls and Youth Empowerment) Program and Environment Protection and Preservation program. HDA will be actively working and reaching the following target areas and regions: Amhara, Oromia, Afar, Tigray, BenshangulGumuz, Somale, SNNP, Gambela, Addis Ababa city administration and Diredawa City Administration. It has developing and makes use of appropriate & relevant policy, procedure and guidelines to guide its management and operations.

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟

Game Changers Consulting PLC is thrilled to announce the successful completion of two impactful consultancy assignments for the Ethiopian Center for Development (ECD)! Together, we focused on empowering vulnerable women in the Amhara region. 💪💖

1️⃣ We conducted a comprehensive training needs assessment and developed a tailored capacity-building manual for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Women’s Rights Organizations (WROs). This manual equips them with essential tools for evidence-based policy advocacy to uplift the voices of vulnerable women. 📚🤝

2️⃣ We also prepared and disseminated insightful policy briefs on three crucial thematic issues affecting vulnerable women in war-affected areas of Amhara:

i. Gender, Conflict Resolution, and Peace Building
ii. Housemaid Workers and Their Challenges
iii. Gender and Migration

These initiatives aim to foster understanding and drive positive change in the region. 🌍✨

News from Game Changers Consulting PLC!
We are proud to announce the successful completion of two critical assignments contracted by the Ethiopian Mediation and Arbitration Center (EMAC). These assignments were aimed at enhancing EMAC's operational effectiveness and strategic direction, contributing to its mission of fostering alternative dispute resolution in Ethiopia.
1. Organizational Communication and Advocacy Strategy Guideline: We've developed a comprehensive Organizational Communication and Advocacy Strategy Guideline tailored specifically for EMAC. This guideline is designed to strengthen EMAC's communication channels, improve stakeholder engagement, and enhance advocacy efforts within the mediation and arbitration sectors. Through this initiative, EMAC will be better positioned to effectively communicate its mission and values, ultimately promoting a culture of mediation and arbitration in Ethiopia.
2. Updated Five-Year Strategic Plan (2024 - 2029): Our team has also successfully reviewed and updated EMAC's Five-Year Strategic Plan for the period 2024 - 2029. This updated plan reflects the evolving landscape of dispute resolution in Ethiopia and outlines key priorities and objectives for the next five years. The revised strategic plan seeks to enhance EMAC's operational efficiency, expand its reach, and fortify its role as a leader in the mediation and arbitration arena.
These initiatives reflect our commitment to empowering organizations and driving transformative change. Together, we’re paving the way for more effective dialogue and collaboration in dispute resolution!
