The first-ever EMSA-Ethiopia’s Activities Fair with the sponsorship of Yene Health that was held here at EMSA-MMC’s campus on April 20 was a huge success!

While the 7 local chapters were setting up their booths, EMSA-MMC’s president and vice president of external affairs led a campus tour for the participants.

After the booths were set, participants immersed themselves in exploring the diverse projects undertaken by the various local chapters. It provided an opportunity for networking allowing exchange of ideas and experiences. In the spirit of giving, some attendees also generously donated blood.

Finally, the event was closed with a friendly football tournament. Our very own EMSA-MMC’s players displayed exceptional skill and determination securing a spot in the semi finals by defeating EMSA-Lorcan with a score of 2-0!

EMSA-MMC would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the national VPM team of EMSA-Ethiopia as well as to everyone who contributed to the resounding success of this event!

EMSA-MMC is delighted for being part of EMA’s 60th annual medical conference and International Health Exhibition! EMSA-MMC participated through the delegates sent as volunteer coordinators at the event. This three-day event, held from March 8th to March 10th brought together different professionals in the medical field, international organizations and passionate medical students.

During the conference, expert discussions and presentations offered valuable insights into our healthcare system, while providing opportunities to engage with professionals from diverse sectors. Notably, panel discussions on topics such as patient-physician communication, patient satisfaction, healthcare costs, and mental health sparked meaningful dialogues and fostered a platform for sharing ideas on pressing healthcare issues.

EMSA-MMC would like to extend our gratitude to EMA and the organizing committee for their exceptional efforts in organizing this impactful conference.

☕😃💉 Coffee conversation and free voluntary HIV screening day at the Ethiopian National Association of the Blind! 💉😃☕

📌 Today, SCORA-HMC in collaboration with SCORA-ECUSTA, SCORA-MMC, and ZUZU for Health and Education united under ✨ Project እኔስ ለወገኔ ✨ to give free voluntary counseling and testing about HIV/AIDS. We engaged in insightful conversations with the members of the Ethiopian National Association of the Blind, addressing their medical inquiries and hearing their personal stories.

✅ We engaged PICT (provider-initiated counseling and testing) and, with the invaluable support of Zewditu Memorial Hospital, provided free HIV voluntary screening for 20 members of the association. Those who tested positive agreed for a committed follow-up at ZMH.

❤️ Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the Ethiopian National Association for the Blind and the ZMH HIV/AIDS Committee for their invaluable partnership.

Hello EMSA-MMC family😊

Today’s research training SCORE-MMC and SCOME-MMC organized on the topics ‘Introduction to Research, Research proposal writing and Research methodology’ was a huge success!

It was a very interactive and informative session that provided an opportunity for the trainees to learn from individuals who have contributed a lot in the research field.

The sessions were beyond theoretical knowledge with practical guidance which allowed trainees to work in groups and go through the steps they should follow starting from selecting research topics until publication.

We are confident that this training will empower the participants to think big on their research endeavors.

We would like to thank everyone that participated for your active engagement. We hope you all had a great time and learned a lot.

Hello SCORPions!💚

SCORP-MMC is delighted to share with you the highlights of our recent activity at Rehoboth feeding center, where we taught the children about the importance of hand washing and how to prevent diseases transmission.

It took place along with the community service program of the PC-2 students, who did a great job in educating and engaging the kids. We also donated the soaps that were collected in the college, thanks to your generous contributions.

We would like to thank everyone who donated and everyone who taught for making this activity a success. You have made a positive impact on the lives of these children.

Hello SCORAngels ❤🤗

SCORA-MMC is delighted to announce our success in the Breast awareness campaign that took place from Oct. 26-28,2023.

We distributed brochures for more than400 patients in the OPDs, reach out through posters, displayed videos on the TVs available in the hospital and posted QR code for downloading Dear Mama breast self examination application.

We would like to give our deepest gratitude to our enthusiastic members who participated in different tasks as well as SCORA-HMC for all your generosity and cooperative effort.

Lastly we also would like to thank yetenaweg, etege app, and bridge the gap Ethiopia along with Dear foundation for granting us the permission to use your resources in Breast cancer awareness.

This campaign proved the value of working together to advocate for a better health for all. Thank you all!

SCORP-MMC would like to announce that it was a huge success! SCORP-MMC would like to thank everyone who donated books! The books have been given to Rehoboth Feeding Center and Tora Orphanage.

30 books and school supplies were donated to Tora Orphanage! 50 books were donated to Rohoboth Feeding and Study Center!

On October 28,2023, SCOME-MMC hosted an extraordinary experience sharing webinar!

It is the first and opening session entitled US edition which is under the theme "Career path after Medschool series" presented by SCOME MMC.

It was a very interactive webinar in which Dr. Jeffery J. Thompson from the University of Buffalo Emergency Medicine Department shared his experiences and path after med school while answering all the questions asked by the host and the trainees.
