The Right Here Right Now 2 Ethiopia program was celebrated with a vibrant event, marking five years of impact, reflection, and collective learning. The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior Government officials, consortium partners, young people, teachers, students, and invited guests.
The program was officially opened by Dr. Tadele Burak, Vice Chair of the Federal Parliament’s Health, Social Development, Culture, and Sport Affairs Standing Committee, who highlighted RHRN2’s significant contributions to advancing reproductive health information and education, promoting gender equality, and promoting meaningful and inclusive youth engagement in Ethiopia. We were also honored by the presence of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ethiopia (EKN), underscoring the importance of strong partnerships in sustaining this initiative.
The celebration featured gallery walks, testimonies, recognitions, and dialogue sessions, providing a platform to share stories, experiences, and lessons learned over the five years.
As we marked the celebration of RHRN2 Ethiopia, we recognized its achievements while looking forward with renewed determination. The closing remark was made by Ato. Asalef Ahmed, Chief Executive officer, Ministry of Women and Social Affairs, who highlighted the contribution of programs like RHRN2 in empowering young people for a brighter future. This closing was not just an ending, but a milestone that honors our achievements and encourages continued efforts to create a future where young people flourish.
