Today, on the occasion of International Workers’ Day, May 01, the Ethiopian Airlines Group Primary Basic Trade Union extends its greetings to all employees of Ethiopian Airlines.

This year’s observance carries deep significance. As we reflect on the global struggle for workers’ rights and the enduring value of labor, we also celebrate a profound milestone in our shared history — the 80th Anniversary of Ethiopian Airlines. For eight decades, our airline has embodied “The New Spirit of Africa,” a legacy carefully built and sustained through the wisdom, dedication, and quiet sacrifices of its workforce.

The remarkable journey of Ethiopian Airlines over these eighty years stands as a testament to what can be achieved through collective commitment and resilience. EAGPBTU Extended Humanitarian Support to Gamo Zone Landslide Victims

The Ethiopian Airlines Group Primary Basic Trade Union (EAGPBTU) has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to social responsibility by extending urgent humanitarian support to communities in the Gamo Zone affected by the recent devastating landslide.

In response to this incident, EAGPBTU has provided immediate assistance worth 1 million Birr in kind, aimed at alleviating the suffering of those impacted and supporting urgent recovery efforts on the ground. This support is not an isolated act, but a continuation of EAGPBTU’s sustained social responsibility initiatives, which have consistently reached vulnerable communities across the country.

EAGPBTU also takes this moment to express its deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the people of Gamo Zone who have suffered the loss of loved ones and property.
