💓 Success Story: Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) Screening Campaign! 💓

On May 25, 2026, GIV Society Ethiopia—together with Healing Valves Ethiopia —successfully conducted an RHD screening campaign at Yekatit 23 Secondary School.

Students of varied ages received health education on Rheumatic Heart Disease, along with free screening and echocardiography throughout the campaign. The few students who were found to have significant findings will be connected for further testing and follow-up to ensure they receive the care they need.

A special thank you to Starchain Medical PLC and Mindray for providing the essential diagnostic equipment and enabling the screening and echocardiography services.

And to our amazing volunteers—thank you, thank you, thank you! Your dedication and voluntary service made this campaign possible. We truly couldn’t have done it without you. 💙

🎉 Celebrating World Kidney Day! 🎉

GIV Society Ethiopia, together with Ethiopian Kidney Care and Rotaract club of Adey, had a fantastic celebration of World Kidney Day.

We held free kidney screenings at Zewditu Memorial Hospital and the Ethiopian Public Health Institute. The event at Zewditu Memorial Hospital featured a lively panel discussion.

We also provided crucial health education to individuals at hospitals and high schools throughout Addis Ababa. Together, we raised awareness and empowered our community about kidney health.
