Today was a very special and encouraging day for us at Simple Act of Kindness Ethiopia. We were honored to receive a recognition award from the Nifas Silk Lafto Addis Ababa Youth Association Office.

We would like to sincerely thank all government officials, business owners, organizations, and institutions who attended, participated, and celebrated this meaningful occasion with us. Your support, encouragement, and partnership continue to inspire us to keep serving vulnerable children and families in our community.
Special thanks to the Addis Ababa Youth Association for always standing beside us throughout the past years — supporting, encouraging, and believing in the work we do.
Today’s celebration was also a beautiful milestone as the association marked its 28th anniversary since its establishment. Congratulations on 28 years of impact, leadership, and commitment to empowering the youth and strengthening the community.
We are truly grateful and honored to celebrate together.

Challenges Faced by Street Children
👉Street children in Addis Ababa often leave home due to extreme poverty, family dysfunction, or the pursuit of better opportunities in the city. Others are separated from families due to natural disasters, conflict, or health crises, including HIV/AIDS. These children face daily survival challenges such as exposure to violence, drug use, exploitation, unsafe sleeping arrangements, and limited or no access to education and healthcare 🥹
