Vision for Sustainable Development

Vision for Sustainable Development After registering, Vision for Sustainable Development began operations.

In accordance with the Civil Society Organizations Proclamation No. 1113/2019, Vision for Sustainable Development was registered and granted legal personality on April 14, 2021, as a local organization. Vision for Sustainable Development is a local non-governmental organization founded in 2021 with the goal of empowering poor and disadvantaged individuals, families, and communities to eradicate ab

solute poverty through sustainable development programs and projects. In accordance with the Civil Society Organizations Proclamation No. 1113/2019, the organization was registered and granted legal personality with registry number 5564 on April 14, 2021, as a local organization. The project initiatives of the organization will primarily focus on promoting livelihoods, education, community-based health care, orphans and other vulnerable children and their families, preventing violence against women and girls, and promoting human and democratic rights. Education, access to water, assistance for the elderly and sick, agricultural development and food security, and environmental and natural resource protection are all important. These programs, which will be implemented in Addis Abeba and Dire Dawa City Administration, Oromia, Amhara, Harari, Somali, Gambella, Afar, Benishangul, SNNP, and Tigray regions, will help to improve the livelihoods of thousands of marginalized and poor women; the wellbeing of highly vulnerable children and their families, the access of poor community members to primary health care services; ensure food security; avoid gender violence, and environmental protection.

Strong research administration and grant management are key to the success of Ethiopia’s public universities as they transition to autonomous governance. The U.S. Embassy, in partnership with the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences (EAS), organized a two-day Grant Management workshop at the U.S. Embassy’s Satchmo Center for sixty faculty members from four Addis Ababa-based universities.
The workshop was led by U.S. Fulbright Scholars and experts from EAS. At the opening, Ryan Bradeen, Public Diplomacy Officer at the U.S. Embassy, stated that the workshop is part of the U.S. government’s ongoing support to equip Ethiopian universities with the skills needed for this transition. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening collaborations between U.S. and Ethiopian universities in research and academic exchanges, which will benefit both nations.
This workshop follows a similar program held at Hawassa University in January, with four additional workshops scheduled at universities around the country in the coming months.

"አሌፍ ኤሮናውቲክስ" የተሰኘው ኩባንያ በኤሌክትሪክ ኃይል የሚሠራውን በራሪ መኪናውን በይፋ ሞክሯል።

ሽቅብ ወደ ሰማይ መነሳትም ሆነ ማረፍ የሚችለው ተሽከርካሪ "አሌፍ ሞዴል ዜሮ" የሚል ስያሜ እንደተሰጠውም ተነግሯል።
