The last day of week five continued with a day full of energy and creativity!

💃 Dance sessions filled the morning with movement and joy, while 💻 computer classes continued in the afternoon.

💛 Mothers concluded their group discussions on psychosocial support, and later joined their children for clay work training, using creativity as a beautiful outlet for expression and connection.

🙏 The day also included Bible study and a meal lovingly prepared at Acacia Café.

Wednesday took learning beyond the classroom! 🏛️✨

Our children and siblings visited the National Museum of Ethiopia, discovering the country’s rich history, culture, archaeology, and heritage. The journey continued at Unity Park, where they explored Ethiopia’s royal history, traditional cultures, historic sites, nature, and wildlife. 🌿🦁

🙏 The day also included Bible study and a nourishing meal prepared with care at Acacia Café.

Week 5 continued with meaningful moments of growth and connection. 💛

👩‍👧 Mothers took part in psychosocial counselling and group discussions on resilience and stress management.
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Siblings continued their life-skills training, exploring the concept of "Making the right choice".
💙 Children with special needs practiced communication and essential daily-life skills.
🙏 The day also included Bible study, reflection, and a nourishing meal prepared with care by Acacia Café.

Give a child a lump of clay, and watch a whole world appear. 🎨

While their mothers train at the pottery wheels, our kids got their own clay session — squishing, rolling, sculpting, and proudly showing off every creation.

For our children, playing with clay isn't just fun. It builds fine motor skills, focus, and confidence. As you can see, it builds some great smiles too.

At Tikuret, supporting a child always means supporting their mother too. Recently, our mothers are deep into pottery training, learning to center clay, shape it, and turn it into something beautiful and sellable.

Every bowl that comes off these wheels is more than pottery. It's a skill, an income, and a mother's independence taking shape.

🌿 Thursday at Acacia Village 💚

Thursday's Summer Enrichment Program brought another full day of faith, learning, creativity, and growth. 🙏✨

The morning began with prayer and Bible study, gathering everyone together in a spirit of reflection and gratitude.

💼 Mothers took part in business and entrepreneurship training led by Hope for Korah, then put their hands to work in the pottery workshop in the afternoon.

💃 Siblings brought the energy with dance training from the Hawi Dance Group — building confidence, creativity, and teamwork with every step.

💻 Our older youth sharpened their digital skills in the computer lab, learning tools that open doors to future opportunities.

🧩 Children with special needs continued building their daily life skills and joined the pottery class, where clay became a playground for imagination and fine motor skills.

☕️ Acacia Café kept everyone fueled with nutritious meals and refreshments throughout the day.

💚 A heartfelt thank you to every trainer, volunteer, staff member, family, and participant who makes this program so meaningful. Together, we are growing.
