"Well done, good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:23

It is with deep sorrow that Rejoice Africa mourns the passing of our beloved Rejoice Africa founding member, alumnus, and active volunteer, Yadessa Emiru Aga.

Yadessa was a dedicated servant leader who faithfully supported Rejoice Africa's mission of developing young leaders in Ethiopia. As a Web Developer and Software Engineer, he strengthened our digital platforms, actively supported fundraising initiatives, served on the executive team, and generously shared his time and expertise to advance our work. His humility, love for people and God, kindness, and unwavering commitment to serving others left a lasting impact on our community.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. May God grant them comfort and peace.

Gone too soon, but his legacy of service and leadership will live on.
Rest in peace, Yadessa.

In Africa, we value family and community, these are the foundations we must keep strong.
Leadership begins at home. Those who aspire to lead others must first nurture and take responsibility for their own families.
Our emerging leaders engaged in a powerful discussion on relationships and how they shape their leadership journey.
Rejoice Africa is proud to create this opportunity in partnership with YEP Ethiopia and Addis Ababa University.

Africa is a land of endless opportunity but only if we choose to see it, think creatively, and take action. Our future is not defined by limitations, but by how we connect, innovate, and critically shape our destiny.

Now is the time to empower and enlighten our emerging young leaders—to open their eyes to possibilities, think beyond boundaries, and create meaningful solutions to the challenges we face.

Turning vision into reality, Rejoice Africa is proudly working alongside YEP Ethiopia and Addis Ababa University to nurture a new generation of creative, forward-thinking leaders, young people who understand the power of networking and building the right partnerships.
The future is ours to create. Let’s rise, innovate, and lead.

Leading by Example: Teachers Empowering Leaders
Rejoice Africa, in collaboration with Cuso International, successfully held a follow-up meeting and experiential learning session with selected female high school teachers under the project “Empowering Women Teachers, Building Student Leaders.”
The session aimed to strengthen teachers’ capacity to better support their students in becoming confident youth leaders while also addressing the needs and challenges teachers face in guiding and mentoring young people.
Through open discussions and shared experiences, the teachers explored practical ways to empower students, develop leadership skills, and create a supportive learning environment.
Together, we continue the next generation of youth leaders

From Self-Discovery to Strong Leadership
We recently facilitated an engaging training session on Self-Concept and Identity for our student leaders. The teenage years are a crucial stage where young people begin to understand who they are, what they value, and the role they want to play in their communities.
These days, as many young people face challenges related to identity crisis and self-understanding. Through this session, students explored the importance of self-awareness, recognizing their strengths, and building a clear sense of identity.
Our student leaders are continuously developing themselves to become confident, self-aware, and well-rounded leaders who can positively influence their peers and communities.
