Strengthening Organizational Effectiveness through Better Internal Processes

EGCRD is conducting Technical Working Group (TWG) workshops focused on reviewing and improving internal processes that have the potential to enhance organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and coordination.

Through these collaborative sessions, key management processes are being reviewed, refined, and strengthened to ensure greater consistency and effectiveness across the organization.

The improved processes are expected to be finalized and rolled out organization-wide in the coming weeks.

Community of Practice 2026 | Hope International

Ethiopian Guenet Church Relief and Development (EGCRD) is pleased to present its impactful work and experiences from the Sidama Region during the Community of Practice 2026 convened by Hope International.

Since 2022, EGCRD has been implementing the program with the financial and technical support of Hope International, working alongside communities to create sustainable and meaningful change.

The Community of Practice provides an important platform to share lessons, celebrate achievements, reflect on challenges, and strengthen collective learning for greater impact.

🎉 EGCRD WELCOMES THE ETHIOPIAN NEW YEAR 2019! 🇪🇹

Ethiopian Guenet Church Relief and Development (EGCRD) warmly celebrated the upcoming Ethiopian New Year 2019 together with its Headquarters team in a spirit of unity, gratitude, and renewed commitment to serving communities.

The celebration was honored by the presence of , Deputy President of , and Mr. , Chairperson of the EGCRD Board.

In their messages, Pastor Moti and Mr. Birhane shared inspiring words of encouragement, appreciation, and guidance, recognizing the dedication of EGCRD staff and encouraging the entire team to continue serving with integrity, excellence, compassion, and commitment.

A five-day in-service training is underway for 100 teachers from intervention schools of the 's which multi-year and funded by . The training is being delivered simultaneously across five cohort groups, reaching 100 teachers from intervention schools.

The training is being delivered by the School of Education Sciences following the signing of a collaborative .
The training aims to strengthen teachers’ capacity in inclusive, gender-responsive, and trauma-sensitive pedagogy, particularly in fragile contexts—helping create safer, more equitable, and supportive learning environments for every child.

EGCRD’s Hawassa Cluster project teams and Sidama Regional Development Office have begun a Project Cycle Management (PCM) training, facilitated by certified and experienced professionals.

The training focuses on strengthening practical project management skills and translating knowledge into better planning, implementation, monitoring, and results.

The training continues throughout the week with practical exercises and experience sharing.
