Ethiopian Guenet Church Convenes Its 31st General Assembly

The (EGC) has convened its 31st General Assembly at Jimma Guenet Church, bringing together church leaders, representatives, and distinguished guests for a significant time of reflection, fellowship, discernment, and collective decision-making.

The Assembly opened with inspiring remarks from the Chairperson of the EGC, setting a meaningful tone for the gathering. Leaders from different denominations also shared words of encouragement, extending their greetings, prayers, and heartfelt wishes for the continued growth and ministry of the .

Over the course of the Assembly, members will deliberate on the annual report, the upcoming annual plan, and other key organizational and ministry agendas, with important decisions expected to be considered and adopted.

As the Church looks back with gratitude and forward with renewed vision, the 31st General Assembly stands as an important moment to celebrate God's faithfulness, strengthen unity, and discern the path ahead for greater impact in the nation and beyond.

Trauma Healing and Psychosocial Support (PSS) training was provided to religious leaders in Mekelle at Desta International Hotel, facilitated by mental health specialists from Ayder Comprehensive Specialized Hospital.

The training was conducted as part of the multi-year Inclusive Quality Education Project with the support of Fida International, recognizing the vital role of faith leaders in supporting children's emotional well-being. By strengthening community-based psychosocial support, the initiative contributes to creating a healthier and more supportive environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive.
