On this , EGCRD reaffirms its commitment to supporting adolescent girls in maintaining safe, healthy, and dignified menstrual hygiene practices across all 27 Child and Youth Projects.

Through awareness creation, access to menstrual hygiene support, and the promotion of healthy practices, EGCRD continues to contribute to the well-being, confidence, and empowerment of girls within the communities it serves.

National Office celebrated Women’s Day at its head office in the presence of church leaders, staff members, and invited guests under the motto of, "A woman who isn't forsaken by God.".

The event was officially opened with thoughtful remarks by EGC President , emphasizing the value, contribution, and empowerment of women within the church and society.

The celebration also featured an insightful panel discussion that encouraged participants to rethink collaboration across different sections and strengthen synergy in advancing shared goals and institutional effectiveness.

The occasion served as a meaningful platform to honor women’s contributions and reaffirm the commitment to inclusive participation and mutual support.

‎በ1986 ዓ.ም የተቀረፀውና ለረጅም ጊዜ በስራ ላይ የነበረው የኢትዮጵያ ሴቶች ፖሊሲ ለሀገራችን ሴቶች መልካም አጋጣሚዎችንና ዕድሎችን የመፍጠሩን ያህል በርካት ክፍተቶች እንደነበሩበት በተካሄደ የግምገማ ጥናት ለመገንዘብ ተችሏል።

‎በመሆኑም ካለፈው ትምህርት በመውሰድና የሌሎች ሀገራትን ልምድና ተሞክሮ በመፈተሽ እንዲሁም ከሀገራችን ነባራዊ ሁኔታ ጋር በተጣጣመ መልኩ ፖሊሲውን ማሻሻል አስፈላጊ ሆኖ ተገኝቷል።

‎ለዚህም የተለያዩ መንግስታዊ እና አለም አቀፍ ተቋማት፣ የሴቶች አደረጃጀቶችና የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች በተሳተፉበት አግባብ የረቂቅ ሰነድ ዝግጅት ሲካሄድና በየደረጃው ግብዓት ሲሰጥበት መቆየቱ ይታወቃል።

‎ፖሊሲው ለስርአተ ጾታ መዛባት ስር ነቀል የሆኑ ጉዳዮች ላይ በቂ ትኩረት ለመስጠት፣ ጾታን መሰረት ያደረገ ጥቃትን በአግባቡ ለመከላከል እና ጥበቃና ምላሽ ለመስጠት እንዲሁም ልዩ ትኩረት ለሚሹ ሴት አካል ጉዳተኞች እና ለተለያዩ ችግሮች ተጋላጭ ለሆኑ ሴቶች ምላሽ ለመስጠት እንዲያስችል ኢትዮጵያ ከተቀበለቻቸው ስርአተ-ጾታን መሰረት ካደረጉ አለም አቀፍና አህጉራዊ ስምምነቶች ጋር በማጣጣም ረቂቁ ተዘጋጅቶ ለሚኒስትሮች ምክር ቤቱ ሊቀርብ ችሏል፡፡

‎ምክር ቤቱ በረቂቅ ፖሊሲው ላይ በሰፊው ከተወያየበት በኋላ ግብዓቶችን በማከል በምክር ቤቱ ከጸደቀበት ቀን ጀምሮ ተግባራዊ እንዲደረግ ግንቦት 18 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም ባካሄደው መደበኛ ስብሰባ በሙሉ ድምጽ ወስኗል።

‎ፖሊሲው አሁን ላይ ያለውንና የወደፊቱን የሴቶች ፍላጎት፣ ጥያቄና ተግዳሮት ሊፈታ በሚችል መልኩ የተዘጋጀ እንደመሆኑ ለኢትዮጵያ ሴቶች መብት ጥበቃና ሁለንተናዊ ተሳትፎና ተጠቃሚነት መረጋገጥ ድርሻው የላቀ እንደሆነ ይታመናል።

‎በመሆኑም በፖሊሲ ዝግጁት ላይ የተሳተፉ እና ጉልህ አስተዋፅዖ ላበረከቱት አካላት በሙሉ ሚኒስቴር መስሪያ ቤቱ ከፍ ያለ ምስጋና እያቀረበ፤ የፖሊሲው ዝግጅት ረጅም ሂደት አልፎ ለዚህ ደረጃ በመብቃቱ ለመላው የኢትዮጵያ ሴቶች እንኳን ደስ አላችሁ ለማለት ይወዳል።

‎በቀጣይም ለፖሊሲው ስኬታማ አተገባበር ባለድርሻና አጋር አካላት በጋራ እንድትረባረቡ ሚኒስቴር መስሪያ ቤቱ ሀገራዊ ጥሪውን ያቀርባል።

A consultative meeting was conducted with regional and zonal education experts to better understand the current educational landscape of Enderta Woreda.

The workshop aimed to gather contextual insights and technical inputs to ensure the newly launched education project in Enderta Woreda is responsive, relevant, and aligned with local educational priorities and realities.

The discussion also strengthened collaboration among stakeholders and reinforced a shared commitment to improving inclusive and quality education in the target area.

These young footballers represent the future of Ethiopian football and the untapped potential within our communities.

Through one of Ethiopian Guenet Church Relief and Development’s initiatives, the has been actively promoting healthy and productive lives for children and youth in Buee, Central Ethiopia Region.

The project is funded by Compassion International Ethiopia and making a meaningful impact on the lives of target communities through holistic child and youth development interventions, as well as maternal and child health services under its Survival Intervention program.

By investing in children and young people today, we are helping build healthier, stronger, and more empowered communities for tomorrow.
