የዶክተር አምባቸው መኮንን ፋውንዴሽን ጾታ ተኮር ጥቃትን ለመከላከል እና ተጎጂዎችን መልሶ ለማቋቋም የሚያስችል አዲስ ፕሮጀክት አስጀመረ።

ደብረብርሃን፡ መጋቢት፡09/2018ዓ.ም (አሚኮ) የዶክተር አምባቸው መኮንን ፋውንዴሽን በደብረ ብርሃን ከተማ ጾታ ተኮር ጥቃትን ለመከላከል እና ተጎጂዎችን መልሶ ለማቋቋም የሚያስችል አዲስ ፕሮጀክት አስጀምሯል።

ይህ ፕሮጀክት በተለይ በከተማዋ "ቻይና ካምፕ" ተብሎ በሚጠራው ጊዜያዊ መጠለያ ለሚገኙ ተፈናቃዮች ትኩረት የሰጠ ነው።

የዶክተር አምባቸው መኮንን ፋውንዴሽን መሥራች እና ዋና ዳይሬክተር መአዛ አምባቸው እንደገለጹት ተቋሙ በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ፣ በጋይንት እና በፎገራ ወረዳዎች መሰል ተግባራትን ሲያከናውን ቆይቷል።

አሁን ላይ ደግሞ በደብረ ብርሃን ከተማ የሚገኙ ተፈናቃይ ወገኖችን ለመደገፍ እና ጥቃትን ለመከላከል የሚያስችል ሥራ መጀመሩን ተናግረዋል።

የፕሮጀክቱ ማናጀር ዳንኤል አስፋው ፕሮጀክቱ ትኩረቱን በሴቶች እና ልጃገረዶች ላይ እንደሚያደርግ ገልጸዋል።

ፕሮጀክቱ በመጀመሪያው ምዕራፍ ለስድስት ወራት የሚቆይ ሲኾን በቀጣይም ተጠናክሮ እንደሚቀጥል ተገልጿል።

የደብረ ብርሃን ከተማ አሥተዳደር ሴቶች፣ ወጣቶች እና ማኅበራዊ ጉዳይ መምሪያ ኀላፊ በለጥሽ ግርማ በከተማዋ ለችግር ተጋላጭ የኾኑ በርካታ ተፈናቃዮች መኖራቸውን ጠቅሰዋል።

ይሁን እንጂ በዘርፉ የሚሠሩ ግብረ ሠናይ ድርጅቶች ቁጥር አነስተኛ መኾኑን ገልጸዋል።

የዶክተር አምባቸው መኮንን ፋውንዴሽን የበኩሉን ድርሻ ለመወጣት ወደ ከተማዋ በመምጣቱ ምሥጋና አቅርበዋል።

በከተማዋ ያሉ ሌሎች መሰል ችግሮችን ለመቅረፍም ሌሎች ድርጅቶች ድጋፍ እንዲያደርጉ ጥሪ አቅርበዋል።

በመጠለያ ጣቢያው የሚገኙ ሴት ተፈናቃዮች የአሁኑ አኗኗራቸው ለጾታዊ ጥቃት አጋላጭ መኾኑን ጠቁመዋል።

ፋውንዴሽኑ ይህንን ችግር ለመቅረፍ መምጣቱ ትልቅ እፎይታ እንደፈጠረላቸው ተናግረዋል።

“Trainer of Trainers Workshop on Reusable Sanitary Pad Production for Women.”
July 28 - August 01/ 2025.
This training is part of the “Empowerment and Economic Justice for Rural Women in Tach Gaint Woreda” our project, funded by the European Union (EU) and jointly implemented with Welthungerhilfe (WHH). It was organized by the Dr. Ambachew Mekonnen Foundation (AMF) in collaboration with Bahir Dar University, and was held over five consecutive days at the Selam Campus, concluding successfully yesterday.

As Culture and Art for Development becomes one of Dr Ambachew Mekonnen Foundation’s (AMF) upcoming thematic focus areas, we had a fruitful discussion with a Visual Anthropology professor Itsushi from Osaka University and Mr. Teferi, a sociologist working in the tourism sector, whose work spans film, Africa, Ethiopia, and intangible cultural heritage, on potential future collaboration at the AMF office.

በዶ/ር አምባቸው ፋውንዴሽን (አመፋ) ሲተገበር የቆየው “Flow to Grow” ፕሮጀክት የመዝጊያ መርሃ ግብር በትናንትናው ዕለት ተካሂዷል።

በታዳጊ ሴት ተማሪዎች ላይ በወር አበባ ምክንያት የሚደርስባቸውን ጫና ለመቅረፍ ያቀደው ይህ ፕሮጀክት በትምህርት ቤት ያላቸውን በራስ መተማመን በመጨመር ከትምህርት ገበታቸው እንዳይርቁ ማድረግ ላይ ትኩረት ያደረገ ነበር።

ጅማሮን በ5 ትምህርት ቤቶች እና ለ 6 ወራት ያደረገው ይህ ፕሮጀክት በUSAID/READ ll ፕሮጀክት ባገኘው የዓይነት ድጋፍ የትምህርት ቤቶችን ቁጥር ወደ 15 እና የፕሮጀክቱን ቆይታ ወደ አንድ ዓመት ከስድስት ወር በማሳደግ፤ 900 ተማሪዎችን ተጠቃሚ ማድረግ ተችሏል።

ከዚህ በተጨማሪ በዳግማዊ ብርሃን ትምህርት ቤት ቅጥር ግቢ ውስጥ በተካሄደው የመዝጊያ መርሐግብር፤ በቅርቡ ከ ደራሲው አብርሐም ደበሌ ለዶ/ር አምባቸው መኮንን ፋውንዴሽን (አመፋ) የተለገሰ “አውሮፕላን እንዴት ይበራል” የሚል ርዕስ የያዘ መፅሃፍ የነበረ ሲሆን በዚህም ወቅቱ የክረምት ጊዜ እንደ መሆኑ መጠን እና ተማሪዎች በክረምት ጊዜ የማንበብ ባህላቸውን እንዲያዳብሩ በዚህ የማጠቃለያ ፕሮግራም ላይ፤ ፕሮጀክቱ ላቀፉቸው 15 ትምህርት ቤቶች የመፅሃፍ ስጦታ ከ አመፋ ተበርክቷል።

ተማሪዎች አና የትምህርት ቤት ተወካዮች የዶ/ር አምባቸው መኮንን ፋውንዴሽን (አመፋ) ላደረጋቸው ሁሉ ደስታቸውን እና ምስጋናቸውን ገልጸው ወደ ፊት ድጋፉ ቀጣይነት እንዲኖረው ጠይቀዋል። ስለሆነም ይህ ፕሮጀክት የመስፋት እና ብዙዎችን ተጠቃሚ የማድረግ አቅም ስላለው በዚህ ዘርፍ ያላችሁ ባለድርሻ አካላት ማህበረሰባችንን የበለጠ ተጠቃሚ ለማድረግ በጋራ እንድንሰራ ጥሪያችንን እናስተላልፋለን።

The “Flow to Grow” Project by Dr. Ambachew Foundation (AMF) Holds Closing Program

The “Flow to Grow” project, implemented by the Dr. Ambachew Foundation (AMF), held its closing program yesterday.

Launched to address the challenges menstruation poses for young female students, the project aimed to empower them and build their confidence in school, helping them stay focused and committed to their academic growth.

Initially launched in five schools over 6 months, the project expanded to 15 schools and extended its duration to 1 year and 6 months. This growth was made possible through in-kind support from the USAID/READ II project, ultimately reaching 900 students.

The closing ceremony was held at Dagmawi Birhan School. As part of the event, AMF donated the book “How an Airplane Flies” authored by Abraham Debele to all 15 participating schools. This book, donated to the foundation from the author Abraham, which encourages students to practice and strengthening reading habits during the summer break.

Students and school officials expressed deep appreciation for the impact the project has made and voiced their hope for its continuation.

Given the project’s success and potential for broader impact, we invite and encourage stakeholders in the education and health sectors to collaborate with us in scaling this initiative to reach more communities.
