ELiDA, with support from UN Women Ethiopia is convening the Project Launch and Baseline Validation Workshop for β€œEnhancing Women’s Meaningful Participation in Peace and Security & Community-Based Peacebuilding.”

Reaching six regionsβ€”Amhara, Oromia, Tigray, Afar, Somali and Harariβ€”Bringing together government, civil society, and community stakeholders, the workshop is creating a platform to validate evidence, align priorities, strengthen partnerships, and translate shared commitments into coordinated action for women’s meaningful participation in peace and security. 🀝

As we reflect on the International Day of Democracy, ELiDA highlights its recent regional Women, Peace and Security (WPS) capacity-building engagements across.

Across the three regions, ELiDA brought together CSOs and WPS actors to strengthen their capacity to implement, monitor, document, and advocate for Ethiopia’s National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security (NAP-WPS).
These engagements are helping translate national commitments into local action, strengthen accountability, and advance women’s meaningful participation in peacebuilding and decision-making.
