📆 Day 3 – Final Day of Main Training (ToT Remains!)

We have reached the third and final day of the main Teacher Capacity Building Training Program for primary school teachers in Addis Ababa (April 24–26, 2026), implemented by Fidel Birhan Charitable Organization (FBCO) in partnership with Kotebe University of Education (KUE).

But the work doesn't end here. What remains is the Training of Trainers (ToT) component, ensuring that today's 30 trained teachers become multipliers who will cascade their knowledge to colleagues across more schools.

Today's sessions focus on:

🤝 Collaborative Teaching (Public–Private Twinning)

Strategies for effective public-private school partnerships

Sharing best practices across different school environments

Building peer learning networks

💡 Teacher Motivation, Professional Growth & Leadership

Cultivating intrinsic motivation and resilience

Pathways for continuous professional development

Developing instructional leadership skills

📆 DAY 2 – Going stronger!

We’re on Day 2 of our Teacher Capacity Building Training for 30 primary school teachers in Addis Ababa.

Today, we added something special:
💰 Financial Understanding Training led by Mr. Henok Tibebe – inspired by Projeto Sumo Educacional and Setting SMART financial goals skill development modules.

Why? Because teachers who understand financial literacy can teach it early – shaping smarter, more prepared students from the start.

We are excited to announce that today, April 24, 2026, we are officially launching the Teacher Capacity Building Training Program for primary school teachers in Addis Ababa.

This training is part of the “Bridging the Gap: Improving Public Education through School Twinning, Teacher Capacity, and Community Engagement” project, implemented by Fidel Birhan Charitable Organization (FBCO) in partnership with Kotebe University of Education (KUE) and The Fanos Light Education & Virtues Inc..

📚 What: 4-day comprehensive teacher training (3 days main session)
📅 When: April 24–26, 2026
👩‍🏫 Who: 30 primary school teachers

Key objectives include:

በአራዳ ክፍለ ከተማ የሚገኙ የመንግሥት ትምህርት ቤቶች አብዛኛውን ማህበረሰብ ያገለግላሉ። ሆኖም ግን ከግል ትምህርት ቤቶች ጋር ሲነጻጸር በኢንፎርሜሽን ቴክኖሎጂ (ICT) ግብዓቶች፣ በዘመናዊ የመማሪያ መርጃዎች እና በመምህራን ማበረታቻ ረገድ ከፍተኛ እጥረት ይስተዋልባቸዋል። ይህ ፕሮጀክት ይህንን ልዩነት ለማጥበብ 1,431 ቀጥተኛ ተጠቃሚዎችን (ተማሪዎች፣ መምህራን እና የአስተዳደር ሰራተኞች) ኢላማ ያደርጋል።

Collaborating Through School Twinning, Teacher Development, and Community Involvement

Addis Ababa, April 9, 2026 — A successful alignment meeting took place today at Kotebe University of Education to further the "Bridging the Gap" initiative. Leaders from the Fidel Birhan Charitable Organization and the vice president and senior administration of the university's In-Service Training Institute convened to discuss the creation of an impactful teacher training program, improving school partnerships between public and private institutions, and boosting community participation via School Support Groups (SSGs).

The Pilot Project Launch of Fidel Birhan Charitable Organization (FBCO) was a resounding success in Addis Ababa! 🎉

Under the inspiring theme “Bridging the Gap: The Triple-Pillar Approach to Improving Public Education”, we officially kicked off this one-year initiative (2025–2026) in strong partnership with Fanos Light Education, Virtues Inc., and now proudly collaborating with the Arada Sub-City Education Office and relevant Arada Sub-City offices.

This collaborative effort will directly benefit over 2,400+ children and educators, while indirectly reaching more than 84,000+ community members through:

* Formal public–private school twinning partnerships
* Strengthened community engagement via School Support Groups (SSGs)
* Resource-sharing (ICT tools, books, teaching aids)
* Teacher capacity-building workshops
* Structured teacher recognition programs

The launch featured an engaging panel discussion with key education stakeholders, focusing on collaboration, sustainability, and equity in public education.
A major highlight: The official MoU signing between our partner schools, marking the formal start of this impactful twinning partnership! ✍️🤝

Together with Arada Sub-City, we're taking concrete steps to enhance quality education and reduce disparities between public and private schools in Addis Ababa.
