On Battle of Adwa Day, which is celebrated every year on March 2 in Ethiopia, the children from Youth Impact Development Association marked the day in a very meaningful way. Instead of celebrating only among themselves, they chose to share the joy of the day with elderly and disabled people at Macedonia Humanitarian Association.
The children visited the center to spend time with the residents, showing love, respect, and kindness. They talked together, shared smiles, and created a warm atmosphere of friendship and care. For many of the elderly and disabled people, this visit brought happiness and reminded them that they are valued and not forgotten.
Celebrating Adwa in this way also teaches the children important values. They learn about compassion, unity, and the importance of supporting others in the community. Just as the victory of Adwa represents courage and unity for Ethiopia, this day also became a moment of sharing love, strengthening community bonds, and bringing different generations together.
Through activities like this, the children of Youth Impact continue to grow not only in knowledge but also in kindness, empathy, and social responsibility. The celebration became more than a historical remembrance—it became a day of humanity, respect, and hope for everyone involved.
