Two days on the ground in Gode and Jijiga.
Coordinated by OCHA Ethiopia, the visit brought together Government officials, UN agencies and ambassadors to meet displaced and refugee communities, regional authorities and partners across the Somali Region.
The delegation heard directly from communities about the challenges they face, visited irrigation and livelihood projects, and discussed access to basic services, durable solutions and ways to better withstand recurrent shocks.
For OCHA, bringing these different voices together is a key part of the work: connecting what communities are experiencing on the ground with partners and decision-makers who can act on it.
The visit ends here but the work doesnβt. Back in Addis, where these conversations will now feed into concrete follow-up.
