The Consortium for Climate Change Ethiopia (CCC-E) with the financial support from Save the Children International, successfully conducted the project kick-off meeting for the Civil Society Strengthening Programme for Children’s Rights, followed by a national awareness-raising workshop on the UNCRC General Comment No. 26.

The kick-off meeting marked the beginning of a collaborative journey to strengthen child rights-focused civil society action in Ethiopia. This was followed by the awareness workshop, which brought together CSOs to deepen understanding of children’s rights in the context of climate change and environmental protection.

Through meaningful discussions and shared learning, participants strengthened their commitment to integrating children’s rights into climate and development agendas at local and national levels.

Together, we are advancing a more just, inclusive, and climate-resilient future.

OUR POWER. OUR PLANET.
Not someday. Not later. NOW.
Right now the shift is already happening. So are the solutions.

This Earth Day, we focus on what truly matters:
• Renewable energy for cleaner future
• Clean electricity for everyone
• Sustainable systems and infrastructure that last
Climate change is real. But so is our power to change it .

So here’s the real question
What is ONE concrete action you are taking today to support a healthier planet?

On March 25, 2026 CCC-E successfully conducted its General Assembly, bringing together members, partners, and stakeholders for a day of meaningful reflection, dialogue, and strategic direction-setting. The assembly served as an important platform to review progress, share key achievements, and openly discuss challenges and lessons learned.
Through engaging discussions and collective input, participants contributed to shaping CCC-E’s future priorities, strengthening collaboration, and reinforcing our shared commitment to advancing climate action and community impact.

As we move forward, the insights and energy from this gathering will continue to guide our work toward more inclusive, innovative, and impactful outcomes.

Women and girls with disabilities often have limited access to climate finance , restricting their full participation in forestry and climate initiatives.
Justice requires:
• Direct financing for women-led forest restoration initiatives
• Inclusion in national and regional climate decision platforms
• Integration of child rights and disability safeguards

Without inclusion, there is no climate justice.

Women and girls, including those with disabilities, deserve a healthy environment, and a seat at the climate decision-making table.
Climate rights are human rights.
