የኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ምክር ቤት የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ዘርፉ ህብረተሰቡ ትርጉም ባለው ሁኔታ የሀገራዊ ምክክር ጉባኤ ላይ እንዲሳተፍ ከፍተኛ ሚና ሊጫወት እንደሚገባ ተናገረ። የኢትዮጵያ ሀገራዊ ምክክር ኮሚሽን ዛሬ በተካሄደ መድረክ ላይ የሀገራዊ ምክክር ጉባኤ አጀንዳዎች ላይ ለሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች እና ለሃይማኖት ተቋማት እየተደረገ ስለሚገኘው ዝግጅት አቅርቧል።

በመድረኩ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች የመግባባት ባህልን ለማጠናከር እና ሰላማዊ ውይይቶችን ለማበረታታት ከፍተኛ ሚና እንዳላቸው ተገልጿል።

የኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ምክር ቤት ፕሬዝደንት አቶ አህመድ ሁሴን ``ሃገራዊ ምክክር ከስሙ እንደምንረዳው መናገር ብቻ ሳይሆን መደማመጥ፣ መግባባት እና የጋራችንን መወሰን፤ የወደፊት ራዕይ መገንባት ነው`` ብለዋል። አክለውም ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች የመግባባት ባህልን ለማጠናከር፣ ሰላማዊ ውይይቶችን ለማበረታታት እና ህብረተሰቡ ትርጉም ባለው ሁኔታ እንዲሳተፍ ከማድረግ አንጻር ከፍተኛ ሚና እንዳላቸው አስምረውበታል።

የኢትዮጵያ ሀገራዊ ምክክር ዋና ኮሚሽነር ፕሮፌሰር መስፍን አርዓያ ለሀገራዊ ምክክር ጉባኤ የሚቀርቡ አጀንዳዎች ላይ ከሃይማኖት ተቋማትና ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ጋር የማረጋገጥ ስራ ኮሚሽኑ መስራቱ የምክክሩን ተዓማኒነት ያሳድጋል ብለዋል።

የምክር ቤቱ ፕሬዝደንት የሀገራዊ ምክክር ሂደት የሁሉም አካላት ኃላፊነት እንደሆነ በመገንዘብ በባለቤትነት መሳተፍ አለብን ሲሉ ጥሪ አቀርበዋል።

ምክር ቤቱ ከኮሚሽኑ ጋር በመተባበር ባዋቀረው የጋራ ቴክኒካል ኮሚቴ በኩል በሀገራዊ ምክክር ሂደት ላይ የግንዛቤ ማስጨበጫ ስራዎችን ሲሰራ የቆየ ሲሆን በቀጣይም የሀገራዊ ምክክር ጉባኤውን አስመልክቶ አጠናክሮ ለመስራት ዝግጅቱን አጠናቋል።

The Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council (ECSOC) emphasized that the civil society sector must play a vital role in ensuring that the public meaningfully participates in the upcoming National Dialogue Plenary. At a meeting held today, the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission/የኢትዮጵያ ሀገራዊ ምክክር ኮሚሽን(ENDC) presented the ongoing preparations to civil society organizations and religious institutions regarding the agendas of the National Dialogue Plenary.

During the session, it was underscored that civil society organizations have a major responsibility to strengthen the culture of consensus and promote peaceful dialogue.

President of ECSOC, Ahmed Hussen, stated, "National dialogue, as the name implies, is not just about speaking, it is about listening to one another, reaching an understanding, making collective decisions, and building a shared vision for the future." He further emphasized that CSOs play a major role in strengthening a culture of consensus, fostering peaceful dialogues, and enabling meaningful public participation.

The Nationa Dialogue Chief Commissioner, Professor Mesfin Araya, noted that the Commission's work to validate the agendas presented for the National Dialogue Plenary in collaboration with religious institutions and CSOs will significantly enhance the credibility of the entire dialogue process.

The Council’s President concluded by calling upon all to take ownership and participate actively, recognizing that the national dialogue process is a collective responsibility.

Through the joint ENDC-ECSOC technical committee, the Council has been actively conducting awareness-raising initiatives on the national dialogue process. It has now finalized its preparations to further strengthen these collaborative efforts for the upcoming National Dialogue Plenary.

7ኛው ጠቅላላ የምርጫ ሂደት ተዓማኒ እና ሰላማዊ ሂደት እንዲኖረው የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች እና የፖለቲካ ፓርቲዎች ሚና ከፍተኛ እንደሆነ ተገለጸ።

ይህ የተባለው ለሰላማዊ ምርጫ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶችና የፖለቲካ ፓርቲዎች የጋራ ውይይትን ዳግም ለማደስ በተዘጋጀው መድረክ ላይ ነው።

የኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ምክር ቤት ፕሬዝዳንት አቶ አህመድ ሁሴን “ምርጫ መንግስታት ስልጣን የሚይዙበት ዴሞክራሲያዊ መንገድ ነው። መንግስት የአንድ ሀገርና የህዝቦቿ ውክልና መሆኑን በማስታወስ፣ የምርጫ ሂደቶች ሰላማዊ፣ አካታች እና በሀሳብ ውድድር ላይ የተመሰረቱ ሊሆኑ ይገባል” ብለዋል።

የእንኳን ደህና መጣችሁ መልዕክት ያስተላለፉት የምክር ቤቱ ዋና ዳይሬክተር አቶ ተረፈ ደጌቲ የምርጫ ሂደቱ ሰላማዊ፣ አካታች እና በመግባባት የተመሰረተ መሆኑን ማረጋገጥ እንዳለበት አጽንኦት ሰጥተው በዚህ ረገድ ደግሞ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች እና የፖለቲካ ፓርቲዎች ከፍተኛ ሚና እንደሚጫወቱ ግልጽ መሆኑን አስምረውብታል።

በውይይት መድረኩ የፓናል ክፍለ-ጊዜ፤ የኢትዮጵያ የሲቪል ማህበራት ድርጅቶች ህብረት ለምርጫ ዋና ዳይሬክተር አቶ አበራ ሃይለማሪያም ድርጅታቸው የምርጫ ሂደቱን አስመልክቶ ከአባላቱ ጋር እያከናወናቸው ያሉትን ተሞክሮዎች ያቀረቡ ሲሆን፤ በኢትዮጵያ የናሽናል ዴሞክራቲክ ኢንስቲትዩት ዳይሬክተር ፍራንክሊን ኦዶሮ ደግሞ የጋና፣ የደቡብ አፍሪካ እና የኬንያን አህጉራዊ የምርጫ ተሞክሮዎች አቅርበዋል።

Civil society organizations (CSOs) and political parties play a vital role in ensuring that the upcoming 7th general election process is credible and peaceful. This was stated during a workshop organized to reactivate the joint dialogue between CSOs and political parties for peaceful and credible elections.

The President of the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council (ECSOC), Ahmed Hussein, noted, "Elections are the democratic mechanism through which governments assume power. Bearing in mind that a government represents a nation and its people, electoral processes must be peaceful, inclusive, and based on the competition of ideas."

During the forum, it was underscored that dialogues and platforms conducted between political parties and civil society organizations play a critical role in countering hate speech and the spread of disinformation.

Delivering his welcoming remarks, Terefe Degeti, Executive Director of ECSOC, emphasized that the electoral process must be guaranteed as peaceful, inclusive, and consensus-driven. He further stressed that CSOs and political parties clearly play a paramount role in this regard.

During the panel discussion session of the workshop, Abera Hailemariam, Executive Director of the Coalition of Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations for Election (CECOE), presented his organization's experiences and ongoing work with its members regarding the electoral process. Additionally, Franklin Oduro (Ph.D.), Country Director of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Ethiopia, shared continental electoral experiences from Ghana, South Africa, and Kenya.

Following the panel discussion, an extensive discussion was conducted, featuring representatives from various civil society organizations as well as political parties drawn from Addis Abeba and regional states. Today's workshop was jointly organized by ECSOC in collaboration with NDI.

የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች እና መገናኛ ብዙሃን በቅርቡ ይካሄዳል ተብሎ በሚጠበቀው ሀገራዊ ምክክር ጠቅላላ ጉባኤ ላይ ንቁ ተሳትፎ እንዲያደርጉ፣ ሂደቱን እንዲታዘቡ እና የውጤቱ ትግበራ በፓርላማ እንዲጸድቅ አበክረው እንዲሰሩ ጥሪ ቀረበ። ጥሪው የቀረበው የኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ምክር ቤት ቀደም ሲል የነበሩትን የሀገራዊ ምክክር ሬፈረንስ ቡድን እና የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ-ሚዲያ ፎረምን በድጋሚ ለማንቀሳቀስ ባዘጋጀው የምክክር መድረክ ላይ ነው።

የምክር ቤቱ ዋና ዳይሬክተር አቶ ተረፈ ደጌቲ የዛሬው መድረክ ሰፊ ተጽዕኖ ፈጣሪ የሆኑትን የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶችን እና መገናኛ ብዙሃንን በአንድ ላይ ማገናኘቱ የሚካሄደው ሀገራዊ ምክክር ጠቅላላ ጉባኤ ስኬታማ እንዲሆን ትልቅ ፋይዳ አለው ብለዋል።

ምክር ቤቱ ከላይፍ ኤንድ ፒስ ኢንስቲትዩት ጋር በመተባበር ባዘጋጀው በዚህ መድረክ ላይ ከሀገራዊ ምክክር ኮሚሽን የመጡ ባለሙያዎች ስለ ጠቅላላ ጉባኤው ዝግጅት ሂደት ለሲቪል ማህበረሰብ እና ለመገናኛ ብዙሃን ተወካዮች ገለጻ አድርገዋል።

የዛሬውን መድረክ አስከትሎ የሀገራዊ ምክክር የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ሬፍረንስ ግሩፕ እና የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ-ሚዲያ ፎረም በድጋሚ ስራ የሚጀምሩ ሲሆን፤ በኮሚሽኑ፣ በሚዲያው፣ በሲቪል ማህበረሰቡ እና በህዝቡ መካከል ያለውን ትስስር ለማጠናከር እንዲሁም ትክክለኛ እና ተዓማኒ መረጃ እንዲሰራጭ ለማድረግ በየሁለት ወሩ ስብሰባ እንደሚያካሂዱ ይጠበቃል።

Civil Society Organizations and the media are being encouraged to actively participate in the upcoming National Dialogue Plenary Session to observe and advocate for the implementation of its outcomes in parliament. This call to action follows a workshop hosted by the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council (ECSOC), aimed at revitalizing the existing National Dialogue reference group and the CSO-Media Forum.

In his opening remarks, ECSOC’s Executive Director, Terefe Degeti underscored the workshop’s significance in that it brings together CSOs and Media፣ both of which have extensive leverage that can ensure the successful hosting of the upcoming National Dialogue Plenary.

ECSOC፣ together with the Life & Peace (LPI) hosted the workshop where experts from the ENDC provided updates on the National Dialogue plenary progress to the CSO and media representatives.

Following today’s workshop, the END CSOs Reference Group and the CSOs-Media Forum will be reactivated and will meet every two months to strengthen linkages between ENDC, the media, civil society organizations, and the broader community with the aim to maintain accurate and reliable flow of information.

የኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ምክር ቤት በሀገራዊ ምክክር ኮሚሽነር ዘገየ አስፋው ህልፈተ ህይወት የተሰማውን ጥልቅ ሀዘን ይገልጻል።

ኮሚሽነር ዘገየ አስፋው በሀገሪቱ የበሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ንቅናቄ ከተለያዩ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ጋር በመሆን በሰብዓዊ መብት አያያዝ ዙሪያ በርካታ ሥራዎችን ሰርተዋል። በተለይም የሰብዓዊ መብት አንቂ በመሆን በገጠሩ የሀገራችን ክፍል በሚኖሩ ሴቶች ላይ የሚፈፀሙ የሰብዓዊ መብት ጥሰቶችን በማውገዝ፣ የሚሻሻልበትን መንገድ በመንደፍ እና ትምህርቶችን በማስተማር ረገድ በርካታ ተግባራትን አከናውነዋል።

በቅርቡ ደግሞ በጀመሩት ሀገራዊ የምክክር ሂደት ውስጥ ለዘመናት ያካበቱትን ልምድና እውቀት ያበረከቱ የሀገር ባለውለታ ነበሩ።

ምክር ቤቱ ከኮሚሽኑ ጋር ባለው የቅርብ ስራና ትብብር የኮሚሽነር ዘገየን ከፍተኛ ሙያዊ አበርክቶ በክብር ያስታውሰዋል።

በዚህ የሀዘን ወቅት ለኮሚሽነር ዘገየ ቤተሰቦች፣ ለወዳጅ ዘመዶቻች፣ ለኮሚሽኑ አመራሮችና ባልደረቦች በሙሉ መፅናናትን ይመኛል።

የኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ምክር ቤት እና የኢትዮጵያ ሀገራዊ ምክክር ኮሚሽን የጋራ ቴክኒካል ኮሚቴ፤ መጪውን ሀገራዊ የምክክር ጉባኤ ዝግጅት በሚመለከት ለመወያየት ሰኞ ዕለት ተሰብስበዋል።

የሀገራዊ ምክክር ኮሚሽን እና የምክር ቤቱ የጋራ ቴክኒካል ኮሚቴ፤ "የሲቪል ማኅበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ለአካታች፣ ግልጽ እና ውጤታማ የአገራዊ ምክክር ጉባኤ የሚያደርጉትን አስተዋጽኦ ማሳደግ" በሚል ፕሮጀክት ስር ለሚቀጥሉት ወራት ልዩ ልዩ ተግባራትን ያከናውናል።

በላይፍ ኤንድ ፒስ ኢንስቲትዩት ድጋፍ የሚከናወነው ይህ ፕሮጀክት ቴክኒካል ኮሚቴው በሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች የሚመሩ የግንዛቤ ማስጨበጥ እና የጋራ መግባባትን የመፍጠር ተግባራትን የሚሰራ ሲሆን፤ ይህም የሀገራዊ ምክክር ሂደቱ ተሳትፎአዊ፣ ገንቢ እና ግጭትን ከግምት ውስጥ ያስገባ እንዲሆን ያደርጋል።

የጋራ ቴክኒካል ኮሚቴው ሰብሳቢ ኮሚሽነር መላኩ ወልደማርያም፤ የምክር ቤቱን የማይናወጥ ቁርጠኝነት አመስግነዋል። ምክር ቤቱ ከኮሚሽኑ ጋር የሚያደርገው ትብብር ከተለመደው አጋርነት ባለፈ፣ ሂደቱን እንደ ባለቤትነት የመቁጠር መንፈስ የታየበት መሆኑንም ገልጸዋል። ኮሚሽነሩ አክለውም ለሀገራዊ ምክክር ጉባኤው ስኬታማነት ምክር ቤቱ አጋርነቱን እና ሀገራዊ ኃላፊነቱን አጠናክሮ እንዲቀጥል ጥሪያቸውን አቅርበዋል።

የምክር ቤቱ ዋና ዳይሬክተር አቶ ተረፈ ደጌቲ በበኩላቸው፤ ይህ የጋራ ስብሰባ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ አካላት ለኢትዮጵያ ሀገራዊ የምክክር አጀንዳ ውጤታማ አስተዋጽኦ እንዲያደርጉ እና ለቀጣዩ ጉዞ ዘላቂ መግባባት እንዲገነባ ለማድረግ ወሳኝ እርምጃ መሆኑን አጽንኦት ሰጥተውበታል። በተጨማሪም የግንዛቤ ማስጨበጫ ዕቅዱ ከኮሚሽኑ ጋር በቅርብ ቅንጅት እንደሚተገበር ገልጸዋል።

The Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council (ECSOC) and the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission (ENDC) joint technical committee met on Monday to discuss on preparations for the upcoming National Dialogue Plenary.

The ENDC-ECSOC technical joint committee will be implementing activities under the “Enhancing the Contribution of CSOs for an Inclusive, Transparent, and Effective National Dialogue Plenary” project for the coming months.

Through the project supported by the Life & Peace Institute (LPI) the technical committee will guide civil society-led awareness creation and consensus-building engagement activities, ensuring that the national dialogue process remains participatory, constructive, and conflict-sensitive.

Chairperson of the joint technical committee, Commissioner Melaku Woldemariam commended ECSOC’s unwavering commitment. He noted that the Council’s collaboration with the Commission exceeds a standard partnership, demonstrating a true spirit of ownership of the process. The Commissioner called on the Council to sustain the partnership and national responsibility to ensure the success of the National Dialogue Plenary.

Executive Director of ECSOC, Terefe Degeti for his part underlined that the joint meeting marks the next critical step in mobilizing civil society actors to contribute effectively to Ethiopia’s national dialogue agenda and to help build durable consensus for the way forward. He further noted that the awareness raising strategic plan will be implemented in close coordination with the Commission.

ለኢትዮጵያ 7ኛው አገራዊና ክልላዊ ምርጫ ታማኝነትንና ሰላምን ለማረጋገጥ ስነ-ምግባራዊ የምርጫ ዘገባን መገንባት በሚል ርዕስ የሚዲያ የትብብር መድረክ እየተካሄደ ነው።

በመድረኩ ከተለያዩ የመገናኛ ብዙሃን ተቋማት፣ የማህበራዊ ሚዲያ ጋዜጠኞች፣ እንዲሁም ከኢትዮጵያ መገናኛ ብዙኃን ባለሥልጣን እየተሳተፉ ይገኛሉ።

የኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ም/ቤት ዋና ዳይሬክተር አቶ ተረፈ ደጌቲ የሚዲያን ተጽዕኖ እጅግ ከፍተኛ ከመሆኑ የተነሳ 7ኛው አገራዊና ክልላዊ ምርጫ በሁከት ፋንታ በሰላም መጠናቀቁን ለማረጋገጥ እንደ ዋነኛ ወሳኝ አካል ሊያገለግሉ እንደሚችሉ ገልጸዋል።

በመድረኩ ላይ የተገኙ ተሳታፊዎች በምርጫ ወቅት የሚያገለግሉ ፈቃደኝለት ላይ የተመሰረቱ የሥነ-ምግባር ደንቦችን አዘጋጅተው ያጸድቃሉ ተብሎ ይጠበቃል። እንደ ዘላቂ ስትራቴጂም፣ ደንቡን የሚያጸድቁ የሚዲያ አካላት ስምምነት የተደረሰባቸውን መርሆች በየተሰማሩባቸው መስኮችና ማህበረሰቦች ውስጥ በመተግበርና ሰላማዊ ምርጫን ለማስፈን ቃል ይገባሉ ተብሎ ይጠበቃል።

የናሽናል ዲሞክራቲክ ኢንስቲትዩት (NDI) ዳይሬክተር ዶክተር ፍራንክሊን ኦዱሮ በመልዕክታቸው፤ መገናኛ ብዙኃን ከታዛቢነት ባለፈ በሕዝብና በመንግሥት መካከል እንደ ወሳኝ ድልድይነት እንደሚያገለግሉ አሳስበዋል። ሁሉም ባለድርሻ አካላት የምርጫ መመሪያዎችን የሚያከብሩበት ሁሉን አቀፍ የምርጫ ሂደት እንዲኖርም ለሚዲያው ጥሪ ያቀረቡ ሲሆን ጋዜጠኞች ያለባቸውን የኃላፊነት ክብደት በማስታወስም “እኛ እንደ መገናኛ ብዙኃን ሰላማዊ የምርጫ ውጤት እንዲመዘገብ ምን አስተዋጽኦ እናበረክታለን?” የሚለውን የመጨረሻ ተልዕኳቸውን ራሳቸውን እንዲጠይቁ አሳስበዋል።

የሚዲያ የጋራ መድረኩ በምክር ቤቱ አዘጋጅነት በናሽናል ዲሞክራቲክ ኢንስቲትዩት (NDI) የገንዘብ ድጋፍ የተዘጋጀ ነው።


A Media Collaborative Forum on Building Ethical Election Reporting to Safeguard Integrity and Peaceful Ethiopia’s 7th National and Regional Elections is taking place here in Addis Abeba.

Participating in today's forum are representatives from various media institutions, social media journalists, and officials from the Ethiopian Media Authority.

Executive Director of the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council (ECSOC), Terefe Degeti, highlighted the media's pivotal role as a dual-edged force. He noted that the media’s influence is so profound it can serve as the primary determinant in ensuring the 7th National and Regional Elections are characterized by tranquility rather than descent into civil unrest.

Participants at today’s discussion platform are expected to work on developing and ultimately endorsing voluntary ethical standards for elections. As a sustainable strategy, those who endorse the standards will pledge to promote peaceful elections by applying and advocating for the agreed principles within their networks and communities.

In his remarks, the National Democratic Institute (NDI)’s Country Director, Franklin Oduro (Ph.D.) underscored that the media functions as much more than a mere observer; it is the essential conduit between the public and the government. He called for a commitment to inclusivity, pressing for an environment where every stakeholder respects the electoral guidelines. Highlighting the weight of their responsibility, he asked journalists to reflect on their ultimate mission: “How do we contribute as media in achieving peaceful election outcomes?”

በሦስተኛው ቀን፤ የአውሮፓ ሕብረት በ Welthungerhilfe (WHH) በኩል የመድረኩን ትኩረት ስቧል። WHH ToGETHER በተሰኘው ፕሮግራሙ አማካኝነት ሁሉን አቀፍ ሎካላትዜሽን እና የአመራር መርሆዎችን በማስፋፋት ላይ ይገኛል።

በጀርመን የፌዴራል የውጭ ጉዳይ መሥሪያ ቤት የሚደገፈው የ ToGETHER ፕሮግራም የሰብአዊ ድጋፍ ሰጪ አካላት በቂ የገንዘብ ድጋፍ እና ቀድሞ የመከላከል የሰብአዊ እርምጃዎችን (Anticipatory Humanitarian Action) በመጠቀም፤ ወቅታዊ፣ መርህን የተከተለ እና ተጠያቂነት ያለው የአደጋ ጊዜ ምላሽ እንዲሰጡ ማብቃት ላይ ያተኩራል።

“ልዩነቶችን ማጥበብ፦ የሰብአዊ ድጋፍ ሎካላይዜሽን ተግባራዊ ለማድረግ የአቻ ለአቻ ድጋፍን እና ተለዋዋጭ የገንዘብ ድጋፍን መጠቀም” በሚል ርዕስ የተከናወነው ይህ የፓናል ውይይት፤ መርህን በተከተለ እና በአገር በቀል የሰብአዊ ድጋፍ እርምጃዎች አማካኝነት በአካባቢው ማኅበረሰቦች ላይ የሚደርሰውን የአደጋ ተፅዕኖ እንዴት መቀነስ እንደሚቻል ጠቃሚ የሆኑ ምክክሮችን አካሂዷል።

The ToGETHER program, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, focuses on empowering local humanitarian actors to lead timely, principled, and accountable emergency responses through flexible funding mechanisms like HOIFA and innovative approaches such as Anticipatory Humanitarian Action.

ከወጣት-ተኮር እና ወጣት-መር ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች፣ ከፖለቲካ ፓርቲዎች፣ ከኢትዮጵያ ወጣቶች ምክር ቤት እና ከኢትዮጵያ ወጣቶች ፌዴሬሽን የተወጣጡ ወጣት መሪዎች ሚያዝያ 8 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም “ወጣቶች የሰላም ዘብ” በሚል መሪ ቃል በተዘጋጀው የአንድ ቀን የባለድርሻ አካላት የውይይት መድረክ ላይ ተገኝተው ጥልቅ ምክክር አድርገዋል።

በኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ምክር ቤት አዘጋጅነት እና በናሽናል ዴሞክራቲክ ኢንስቲትዩት የገንዘብ ድጋፍ የተካሄደው ይህ መድረክ፤ በዋናነት በ7ኛው አገራዊ ምርጫ ወቅት ግጭቶችን ለመከላከል የሚያስችሉ የጋራ ዕቅዶችን እና ተግባራትን ማከናወን በሚቻልባቸው መንገዶች ላይ መክሯል።

የምክር ቤቱ ፕሬዝዳንት አቶ አህመድ ሁሴን ለወጣቶቹ ባስተላለፉት መልዕክት፤ ለተሻለች ኢትዮጵያ ግንባታ የወጣቶች ንቁ ተሳትፎ እና ለሰላም ግንባታ የሚያደርጉት አስተዋፅኦ ወሳኝ መሆኑን አስምረውበታል።

በመድረኩ ላይ ከአማራ፣ ከትግራይ፣ ከቤኒሻንጉል ጉሙዝ፣ ከድሬዳዋ፣ ከሐረሪ፣ ከአፋር፣ ከጋምቤላ፣ ከሲዳማ፣ ከደቡብ ኢትዮጵያ እና ከደቡብ ምዕራብ ኢትዮጵያ ክልሎች የተወጣጡ 40 ያህል ተሳታፊዎች እንዲሁም የኢትዮጵያ ብሔራዊ ምርጫ ቦርድ ተወካዮች ተገኝተዋል።

የናሽናል ዴሞክራቲክ ኢንስቲትዩት ተወካይ አቶ ልዑልሰገድ ግርማ በበኩላቸው፤ ይህ ውይይት የወጣቶችን ጉልበት ወደ ገንቢ የሲቪክ ተሳትፎ ለመቀየር እና የምርጫ ሂደቱ ሰላማዊና ሁሉንም ያካተተ እንዲሆን በጋራ ለመሥራት ትልቅ እርምጃ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል።

ውይይቱ የተጠናቀቀው ተሳታፊዎች የሰላም፣ የኃላፊነት እና የገንቢ ተሳትፎ መልዕክቶችን ወደየማህበረሰባቸው ለማድረስ ቃል በመግባት እና የጋራ የአቋም መግለጫ በማጽደቅ ነው።

Young leaders from youth-led and youth-focused civil society organizations, political parties, the Ethiopian Youth Council, and the Ethiopian Youth Federation came together here in Addis Abeba on April 16, 2026, to have their say at a one-day-long Youth Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue held under the theme “Youth as Guardians of Peace.”

The meeting organized by the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council (ECSOC) through the financial support of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) addressed the topics of youth, collaborative development of joint commitments and action plans to prevent violence during the upcoming 7th National Elections among others.

In his address to the youth gathering, President of ECSOC, Ahmed Hussen, emphasized that the active contribution of young people to peacebuilding is essential for ensuring a better future for Ethiopia.

The event brought together some 40 participants representing regions of Amhara, Tigray, Benishangul-Gumuz, Dire Dawa, Harari, Afar, Gambella, Sidama, Southern Ethiopia, and South West Ethiopia, among others as well as the National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE).

Representing NDI, Leulseged Girma, said that the dialogue is a crucial step in ensuring that the energy of Ethiopia’s youth is channeled into constructive civic participation and a collective pledge to keep the electoral process peaceful and inclusive.
