የኢትዮጵያ ካቶሊካዊት ቤተክርስቲያን ማኅበራዊ ልማት ኮሚሽን፣ የማህበረ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት በኢትዮጵያ (SCORE) በሐመር አካባቢ ጽሕፈት ቤት በኩል፣ በትምህርት ቤትን ያማከለ ሁሉን አቀፍ የማህበረሰብ ልማት ፕሮጀክት በሐመር (Ha-SICD)፣ አማካኝነት ከ20 የራስ አገዝ ቡድኖች (SHGs) ለተውጣጡ 60 ሴት መሪዎች በአመራር፣ በፋይናንስ አስተዳደር እና በሥራ ፈጠራ ዙሪያ ሥልጠና ሰጠ።

በሐመር ወረዳ የኅብረት ሥራ ማኅበራት ጽሕፈት ቤት ባለሙያ አማካኝነት የተሰጠው ይህ ሥልጠና፤ የሴቶችን የአመራር ክህሎት ለማጠናከር እና በማኅበረሰባቸው ውስጥ ያለውን ኢኮኖሚያዊ አቅም ለማሳደግ ያለመ ነው።

SCORE ለሥልጠናው ስኬት ላበረከቱት ላቅ ያለ ድጋፍ ሆሪዞንት3000 (Horizont3000) በዲኬኤ ኦስትሪያ (DKA Austria) እና በኦስትሪያ የልማት ትብብር (Austrian Development Cooperation) በኩል ላደረጉት ድጋፍ ልባዊ ምስጋናውን ያቀርባል።

The Ethiopian Catholic Church Social Development Commission - Spiritan Community Outreach Ethiopia (SCORE), through its Hamer Area Office under the School-centered Inclusive Community Development Project in Hamer (Ha-SICD), organized a training on leadership, financial management, and entrepreneurship for 60 women leaders from 20 Self-Help Groups (SHGs)!

The training, facilitated by an expert from the Hamer Woreda Cooperative Office, aimed to strengthen women’s leadership skills and promote economic empowerment in their communities!

ከሳይን ኦፍ ሆፕ (Sign of Hope) የመጡ ተወካዮች በኢትዮጵያ ካቶሊካዊት ቤተክርስቲያን ማህበራዊ ልማት ኮሚሽን፣ የማህበረ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት በኢትዮጵያ (SCORE) በቦረና እና በአርባምንጭ አካባቢ ጽህፈት ቤቶች ሲያካሂዱት የነበረውን የፕሮጀክት ክትትል ጉብኝት በስኬት አጠናቀዋል። ጉብኝቱ በሳይን ኦፍ ሆፕ (Sign of Hope) እና ቢኤም ዜድ (BMZ) በሚደገፉ በድንበር ተሻጋሪ የምግብ ዋስትና፣ የኑሮ ማሻሻያ እና የሰላም ግንባታ (MAP) እንዲሁም በፈጠራ የታገዘ የአየር ንብረት ለውጥን የሚቋቋም ግብርና ለዘላቂ የምግብ ዋስትና (I-CARE) ፕሮጀክቶች እየታዩ ያሉ ለውጦችንና ተፅዕኖዎችን ለመመልከት ያለመ ነበር።

ይህ ጉብኝት በምግብ ዋስትና፣ በአየር ንብረት መቋቋም፣ በኑሮ ማሻሻያ፣ በሰላም ግንባታ፣ በውሃ አቅርቦት እና በኢኮኖሚ አቅም ግንባታ ላይ ያለሙ ማህበረሰብ-ተኮር ጣልቃ ገብነቶች እያመጡ ያሉትን በጎ ለውጦች ለመመስከር ጠቃሚ አጋጣሚ ፈጥሯል። የለጋሽ ድርጅቱ ተወካዮች ከማህበረሰቡ አባላት፣ ከፕሮጀክቱ ተጠቃሚዎች እና ከሚመለከታቸው አካላት ጋር ውይይት ያደረጉ ሲሆን፤ የታየውን ተጨባጭ ውጤት፣ ጠንካራ የማህበረሰብ ተሳትፎ እና በፕሮጀክት ቦታዎቹ የተመዘገቡ ስኬቶችን አድንቀዋል።

ለማህበረሰቡ አባላት ላሳዩት ሞቅ ያለ አቀባበል እና በጉብኝቱ ወቅት ላደረጉት ንቁ ተሳትፎ ምስጋናችንን እናቀርባለን። በተጨማሪም፣ ለምናገለግላቸው ማህበረሰቦች ትርጉም ያለው ለውጥ እና ዘላቂ ተፅዕኖ ለማምጣት ላሳዩት ቀጣይነት ያለው አጋርነት እና ድጋፍ ለሳይን ኦፍ ሆፕ (Sign of Hope) እና ቢኤም ዜድ (BMZ) ልባዊ ምስጋናችንን እንገልጻለን!

Representatives from Sign of Hope successfully completed a monitoring visit to the Ethiopian Catholic Church Social Development Commission - Spiritan Community Outreach Ethiopia (SCORE) Borana and Arbaminch Area Offices to observe the progress and impact of the MAP - Capacity Building for Cross-Border Cooperation on Food Security, Livelihoods and Peace building Project and I-CARE - Innovation-driven Climate-smart Agriculture for Sustainable Food Security and Climate Resilience Project, supported by Sign of Hope & BMZ!

The visit provided an important opportunity to witness the positive changes being created through community-driven interventions focused on food security, climate resilience, livelihoods, peace building, water access, and economic empowerment. Donor representatives engaged with community members, project participants, and local stakeholders, and appreciated the visible impact, strong community participation, and progress achieved across the project areas!

We are grateful to the communities for their warm hospitality and active engagement throughout the visit. ሚያዚያ 29 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም | በና ፀማይ ወረዳ | በደቡብ ኦሞ ዞን!

በኢትዮጵያ ካቶሊካዊት ቤተክርስቲያን ማህበራዊ ልማት ኮሚሽን፣ የማህበረ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት በኢትዮጵያ (SCORE) በሐመር አካባቢ ጽሕፈት ቤት በሚተገበረው "የሴቶች የመቋቋም አቅም ግንባታ (WoRB)" ፕሮጀክት ስር፤ በበና ፀማይ ወረዳ፣ በእንጨቴ፣ በዱማ እና በግስማ ቀበሌዎች ውስጥ በዕቀባ እርሻ (Conservation Agriculture) እና በሴቶች በሚመራ የአትክልት ልማት ላይ ለተሰማሩ ለ 345 (75 ወንዶች እና 270 ሴቶች) ተጠቃሚዎች የራስ አገዝ ቡድኖች (SHGs) መርሆዎችና አሰራሮች ላይ ያተኮረ የሶስት ቀናት ስልጠና ተሰጥቷል።

የቀረበውም ስልጠና፤ የጋራ ጥረትን ማበረታታት፣ የቁጠባ ባህልን ማዳበር ፣የእርስ በርስ መደጋገፍና ሁሉን አቀፍ ተሳትፎን በማረጋገጥ የኑሮ ሁኔታን ማሻሻል በሚሉ ዋና ዋና ምሶሶዎች ላይ መሰረት ያደረገ እንደነበር ተመልክቷል።

ስልጠናው ከበና ፀማይ ወረዳ የሴቶችና ማህበራዊ ጉዳይ ጽሕፈት ቤት እንዲሁም ከህብረት ስራ ማህበራት ጽሕፈት ቤት በኩል በተሰጠ የቴክኒክ ድጋፍ የተከናወነ ሲሆን፤ ይህም በማህበረሰብ አወቃቀሮች እና በመንግስት ተቋማት መካከል ያለውን ትብብር ይበልጥ አጠናክሯል።

ተሳታፊዎቹ ስለ ራስ አገዝ ቡድኖች አመሰራረት እና አመራር ተግባራዊ እውቀት ያገኙ ሲሆን፤ ይህም ቁጠባን የማዳበር፣ ሀብትን የማንቀሳቀስ፣ የብድር አገልግሎት የማግኘት እና የአየር ንብረት ለውጥን በሚቋቋሙ የግብርና ልምዶች አማካኝነት ዘላቂ የኑሮ ልማትን የማረጋገጥ አቅማቸውን ከፍ አድርጎታል።

Under the Women’s Resilience Building (WoRB) Project, implemented by the Ethiopian Catholic Church Social Development Commission, Spiritan Community Outreach Ethiopia (SCORE) Hamer Area Office, a three-day training on the principles and practices of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) was conducted for 345 (75 Male and 270 Female) beneficiaries engaged in Conservation Agriculture (CA) and women-led vegetable production in Enchete, Duma, and Gisma kebeles of Benna Tsemay Woreda!

The training focused on promoting collective action, savings culture, mutual support, and inclusive participation as key pillars for resilience and improved livelihoods!

Delivered with technical support from the Benna Tsemay Woreda Women and Social Affairs and Cooperative Offices, the sessions strengthened collaboration between community structures and local government institutions!

Participants gained practical knowledge on SHG formation and management, enhancing their capacity for resource mobilization, saving practices, access to credit, and sustainable livelihood development through climate-smart agricultural practices!

በኢትዮጵያ ካቶሊካዊት ቤተክርስቲያን ማህበራዊ ልማት ኮሚሽን፣ የማህበረ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት (SCORE) በሐመር አካባቢ ጽህፈት ቤት አማካኝነት በሚተገበረው የሴቶች የመቋቋም አቅም ግንባታ (WoRB) ፕሮጀክት ስር፤ ባለፈው ዓመት ከእንጨቴ፣ ከዱማ እና ከጊስማ ቀበሌዎች የተውጣጡ 45 ሴት ተጠቃሚዎች እያንዳንዳቸው 30 የፓፓያ ችግኞችን ተረክበው የነበረ ሲሆን፣ ችግኞቹ በአሁኑ ወቅት ጠንካራ እድገት አሳይተው ለምርት ዝግጁ የመሆን ደረጃ ላይ ደርሰዋል፤ ይህም የሚያበረታታ ውጤት ነው።

ፓፓያ ከፍተኛ የአልሚ ምግብ ይዘት ያለው ፍሬ እንደመሆኑ መጠን፣ የቤተሰብን የአመጋገብ ስርዓት ለማሻሻል ከመጥቀሙም በላይ በአካባቢው ገበያ በመሸጥ ገቢ የማመንጨት እድል ይፈጥራል።

ይህ ተግባር የምግብ ዋስትናን በማረጋገጥ፣ የአመጋገብ ስርዓትን በማበልፀግ እንዲሁም የሴት ተጠቃሚዎችን እና የቤተሰቦቻቸውን የመቋቋም አቅም በመገንባት ረገድ ትርጉም ያለው ሚና የሚጫወት ይሆናል።

ይህ ተግባር በአካባቢው እንዲተገበር ድጋፍ ላደረጉልን ለጋሽ አጋራችን ሚሸን ካራ (Misean Cara) ልባዊ ምስጋናችንን እናቀርባለን።

Under the Women’s Resilience Building (WoRB) Project, implemented by Ethiopian Catholic Church Social Development Commission, Spiritan Community Outreach Ethiopia (SCORE) Hamer Area Office, a total of 45 women beneficiaries from Enchete, Duma, and Gisma kebeles were each supported with 30 papaya seedlings last year. Currently, these seedlings have shown robust growth and have reached the harvest stage, representing an encouraging result.

As papaya is a fruit with high nutritional value, it contributes to improving household dietary patterns while also creating opportunities for income generation through sales in local markets.

This initiative plays a meaningful role in ensuring food security, enriching dietary diversity, and building the resilience of women beneficiaries and their households.

ከደቡብ ኦሞ ዞን ፍትህ መምሪያ፣ የስርዓተ-ፆታ እና የጥቃት መከላከል የህግ ባለሙያ እና በSCORE የSICD ፕሮጄክት ኦፊሰር የተስተናገደው የስልጠና መርሃ ግብር የተሳታፊዎችን የሥርዓተ-ፆታ ዕውቀትን ፣ የጥቃት መከላከል ፖሊሲ አተገባበር እና በማህበራዊ ትንተና እና ትግበራ (SAA) መሪሆች አተገባበር ላይ ያላቸውን አቅም አጠናክሯል።

ይህ ተነሳሽነት የአካባቢ መሪዎችን እና የሴቶች ተወካዮችን የጥቃት መከላከል ፓሊሲ ትግበራዎችን ከሥራቸው ጋር በማዋሃድ ለበለጠ አካታች እና ተጠያቂነት ያለው የማህበረሰብ ልማት አስተዋፅዖ ያደርጋል።

ይህ ተግባር እንዲሳካ ላደረጉልን የገንዘብ ድጋፍ ለሚሺን ካራ ድርጅት ልባዊ ምስጋናችንን እናቀርባለን።

The Ethiopian Catholic Church Social Development Commission, Spiritan Community Outreach Ethiopia (SCORE) through its Hamer Area Woito Sub-Office under the Women’s Resilience Building (WoRB) Project, successfully conducted a two-day training on Gender and Safeguarding Policy, along with an introduction to the Social Analysis and Action (SAA) tool.

The training brought together 30 participants, including community leaders, women representatives, project staff, and experts from the Benna Tsemay Woreda Women and Social Affairs Office, representing Enchete, Duma, and Gisma kebeles.

Facilitated by a Gender and Safeguarding legal expert from the South Omo Zone Justice Department and a SCORE, SICD Project Officer, the session strengthened participants’ capacity in gender-sensitive approaches, safeguarding practices, and the application of SAA tools.

This initiative contributes to more inclusive and accountable community development by equipping local leaders and women representatives to effectively integrate safeguarding principles into their work.

9th April 2026 | Gamo Zone | Chencha Zuria Woreda and Chencha Town Adminstration!

The Ethiopian Catholic Church Social Development Commission, through Spiritan Community Outreach Ethiopia (SCORE), Arbaminch Area Office, under the Chencha School-Centered Inclusive Community Development Project (C-SICD), has provided crossbred dairy cattle support to selected schools from Chencha Zuria Woreda and Chena Town Adminstration!

A total of seven crossbred dairy cattle (two bulls and five heifers) were distributed to three beneficiary schools to strengthen school-based income generation and improve the livelihoods of vulnerable students and surrounding communities through sustainable dairy production and livestock rearing!

The support was allocated to Doko Tsida Kebele Primary and Middle School and Mafona Zolo Primary and Middle Schools, each receiving one bull and two heifers, while Doko Shaye Primary and Middle School received one heifer! It was noted that this is the second round of support provided for Doko Shaye's Primary and Middle school, and that previously, 2 heifers and 1 bull were already supported to the school!

This intervention, valued at over ETB 695,000, is intended to enhance household resilience, promote inclusive education support systems, and contribute to long-term community economic empowerment!

Sincere appreciation is extended to our valued donor, Misean Cara, for their generous support and continued commitment to improving the well-being of disadvantaged communities!

በት/ቤት ላይ የተመሰረተ የገቢ ማስገኛን ለማጠናከር እና የተቸገሩ ተማሪዎችን እና የአካባቢውን ማህበረሰቦች በዘላቂ የወተት ምርትና የእንስሳት እርባታ ኑሮ ለማሻሻል በአጠቃላይ ሰባት የተዳቀሉ የወተት ከብቶች (ሁለት ወይፈኖችና አምስት ጊደሮች) ለሦስት ተጠቃሚ ትምህርት ቤቶች ተሰራጭተዋል!

ድጋፉ የተከናወነው፣ ለዶኮ ፂዳ ቀበሌ አንደኛ ደረጃና መካከለኛ ደረጃ ት/ቤት እና ለማፎና ዞሎ አንደኛ ደረጃ እና መካከለኛ ደረጃ ት/ቤቶች ለእያንዳንዳቸው አንድ ወይፈን እና ሁለት ጊደሮች የተሰጣቸው ሲሆኑ ለዶኮ ሻዬ አንደኛ ደረጃ እና መካከለኛ ደረጃ ት/ቤት አንድ ጊደር ተሰጥቷቸዋል! ለዶኮ ሻዬ አንደኛ ደረጃ እና መካከለኛ ደረጃ ት/ቤት የተደረገው ድጋፍ ለሁለተኛ ዙር ሲሆን ከዚህ ቀደም 2 ጊደርና 1 ወይፈን ድጋፍ ተደርጎላቸዋል!

ይህ ከ695,000 ብር በላይ የሚገመተው ድጋፍ የቤተሰብን ተቋቋሚነት ለማጎልበት፣ አካታች የትምህርት ድጋፍ ስርዓቶችን ለማስፋፋት እና የረጅም ጊዜ የማህበረሰብ ኢኮኖሚን ​​ለማጠናከር ያለመ ነው!

ለጋሽ ድርጅታችንን ሚሺን ካራን (Misean Cara) ላደረጉልን ታላቅ ድጋፍ እና ለተቸገሩ ማህበረሰቦች የኑሮ ሁኔታን ለማሻሻል ላሳዩት ቁርጠኝነት ከልብ እናመሰግናለን።

ሶስተኛ ዙር ሰብዓዊ ድጋፍ ‼️

በኢትዮጵያ ካቶሊካዊት ቤተክርስቲያን፣ ሶዶ ሀገረ ስብከት ጳጳስ በብፁዕ አቡነ ደጄኔ ሄዶቶ የተመራ የአርባምንጭ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ማህበር አባቶች እና የማህበረ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት በኢትዮጵያ (SCORE) ሰራተኞች ቡድን፣ በጋሞ ዞን ደጋማ አካባቢዎች የጣለው ከባድ ዝናብና የመሬት መንሸራተት ላስከተለው የሰው ሞትና የንብረት መውደም የተሰማቸውን ጥልቅ ሐዘን በመግለፅ፣ ከDKA Austria በተገኘ የገንዘብ ድጋፍ፣ 800,000 ሺ (ስምንት መቶ ሺ ብር) በሚጠጋ ወጪ ምግብ ነክ ቁሳቁስ በማቅረብ እንደ ቤተክርስቲያን ለሶስተኛ ዙር ሰብዓዊ ድጋፍ በዛሬው ዕለት አከናውነዋል!

የኢትዮጵያ ካቶሊካዊት ቤተክርስቲያን፣ ሶዶ ሀገረ ስብከት ጳጳስ ብፁዕ አቡነ ደጄኔ ሄዶቶ በስፍራው በመገኘት ድጋፉን ያስረከቡ ሲሆን፣ ቤተክርስቲያን፣ በተከሰተው አደጋ ማዘኗንና ለተጎዱ ሰዎችን ድጋፍ ማድረጓን እንደምትቀጥልም አሳስበዋል!

Third Round of Humanitarian Assistance ‼️

In the Catholic Church of Ethiopia, under the leadership of His Excellency Bishop ABBA Dejene Hedoto of the Apostolic Vicariate of Soddo, a team composed of the fathers of the Arbaminch Holy Spirit Congregation and staff members of the Spiritan Community Outreach Ethiopia (SCORE), expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of lives and destruction of property caused by the heavy rainfall and landslides in the highland areas of Gamo Zone and carried out third round of humanitarian assistance today by providing food-related supplies worth of 800,000 Ethiopian Birr, through the donation provided by DKA Austria!

Bishop ABBA Dejene Hideto of the Apostolic Vicariate of Soddo personally attended the event and handed over the support. He also emphasized that the Church shares in the grief caused by the disaster and will continue to support those affected!

Ethiopian Catholic Church Social Development Commission, Spiritan Community Outreach Ethiopia (SCORE) Arbaminch Area Office has successfully distributed One Thousand Two Hundred (1200) forty-five-day-old Sasso breed chickens to three hundred (300) women in a self-help saving groups in Gamo Zone, Chencha Zuria Woreda (Dallo-Zara Kebele), Dita Woreda (Lisha Kebele) and Qogota Woreda (Tulla Kebele)!

Mr. Taye Mara (KDC-SICD Project Officer) stated that this initiative by SCORE is part of an ongoing School-centered Inclusive Community Development (KDC-SICD) project in Dita, Kogota, and Chencha woredas, aimed at enhancing women’s economic empowerment and improving household food security!

The project has also provided intensive training on modern poultry management, health, and proper housing techniques!

SCORE has also previously supported the community through improved livestock distribution, water infrastructure development, provision of hygiene and educational materials, and distribution of improved seeds to boost agricultural productivity!

የKDC-SICD ፕሮጀክት ኦፊሰር የሆኑት አቶ ታዬ ማራ፣ እንደገለፁት ይህ ተግባር፣ የሴቶችን ኢኮኖሚያዊ ተጠቃሚነት ለማሳደግ እና የቤተሰብን የምግብ ዋስትና ለማሻሻል ያለመ ሲሆን፣ በቆጎታ፣ ዲታ፣ እና ጨንቻ ወረዳዎች እየተካሄደ ያለው ትምህርትን ያማከለ ሁሉን አቀፍ የማህበረሰብ ልማት (KDC-SICD) ፕሮጀክት አካል መሆኑንም ተናግረዋል!

በፕሮጀክቱ፣ በዘመናዊ የዶሮ እርባታ አያያዝ፣ጤና እና ትክክለኛ የመኖሪያ ቤት ቴክኒኮች ላይ የተጠናከረ ስልጠናም ተሰጥቷል!

በተጨማሪም SCORE ቀደም ሲል የግብርና ምርታማነትን ለማሳደግ የተሻሻሉ የኮርማና ግደሮችን ስርጭት፣ የውሃ መሠረተ ልማት ዝርጋታ፣ የንጽህና እና የትምህርት ቁሳቁስ አቅርቦት እና በተሻሻሉ ዘሮች ስርጭት ህብረተሰቡን የደገፈ ሲሆን፣ እነዚህን ተፅዕኖ የሚያመጡ ተግባራት በአካባቢው እንዲተገበሩ ቀጣይነት ያለው ድጋፍ እያደረገልን ያለውን ለጋሽ ድርጅት፣ ዲኬኤ ኦስትሪያ፣ እጅግ በጣም ከልብ እናመሰግናለን!
