📌 The Ethiopian Tourist Guides Professionals Association Concludes its 2018E.C Fiscal Year's Capacity-Building and setting-standard program on specialized training topics in Geosites, Geotourism & Geoparks.

The training was initiated by the Association's Training and Education Department and made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Executive Committee, the invaluable coordination of the Association's long-standing supporter and regular collaborator Ato Enku Mulugeta, the generous commitment of the trainer Professor Asfawossen Asrat and the prompt response & support of the Ministry of Tourism.

The training was held at the Ministry of Tourism's conference hall & provided by Professor Asfawossen Asrat - Advisor to the Ethiopian Geopark Initiative and a member of the UNESCO Council & officially opened by Mr. Tewodros Derbew - Strategic Advisor to the Ministry of Tourism and Mr. Ashenafi Sileshi - President of the Ethiopian Tourist Guides Professionals Association.

The training aimed to strengthen participants' understanding of the principles of geosites, geotourism and geoparks, while also providing practical insights into the criteria, application process & significance of UNESCO Global Geopark designation.

At the end of the program, the Association presented Professor Asfawossen Asrat with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his generous contribution of time and expertise in delivering the training on a voluntary social respobsibily basis. The Association also extended its sincere gratitude & certificate to the Ministry of Tourism for its swift response in providing the training venue and tea and coffee refreshments on short notice.

The training brought together 100 participants, primarily members of the Ethiopian Tourist Guides Professionals Association; along with invited members of the Talak Ethiopia Tour Operators Association, reflecting the shared commitment of Ethiopia's tourism professionals to continuous learning and professional development.

📌 የኢትዮጵያ ቱሪስት አስጎብኚ ባለሙያዎች ማኀበር የዓመቱን የመጨረሻ አቅም ግንባታ እና የስነ ልክ ቀረፃ ስልጠና በጂኦሳይት ፣ ጂኦ ቱሪዝም እና ጂኦ ፓርኮች ምንነት ዙሪያ አከናወነ፡፡

ማኅበራችን ካለው ንዑስ ክፍሎች ውስጥ አንዱ በሆነው የስልጠና እና ትምህርት ክፍል ሐሳብ አመንጪነት ፣ በሥራ አስፈጻሚው ከፍተኛ ጥረት ፣ በማኅበራችን ቋሚ ቤተሰብ እና የዘወትር ተባባሪ ዕንቁ ሙሉጌታ አመቻችነት ፣ የዕለቱን ስልጠና በሰጡን ፕሮፌሰር አስፋወሰን አስራት መልካም ፈቃድ እና በቱሪዝም ሚኒስቴር ፈጣን ምላሽ የተዘጋጀው ስልጠና ዛሬ ሐሙስ ሐምሌ 23 ቀን 2018ዓም ለግማሽ ቀን በኢትዮጵያ ቱሪዝም ሚኒስቴር አዳራሽ የሚኒስቴሩ ስትራቴጂክ አማካሪ አቶ ቴዎድሮስ ደርበው እና የማኅበራችን ፕሬዘዳንት አቶ አሸናፊ ስለሺ በተገኙበት ተከናውኗል፡፡

ስልጠናውን የሰጡት የኢትዮጵያ ጂኦ-ፓርክ አማካሪ እና በተባበሩት መንግስታት ድርጅት ሳይንስ ፣ ትምህርት እና ባህል ድርጅት (UNESCO) ጉባኤ (Council) አባል ፕሮፌሰር አስፋወሰን አስራት ሲሆኑ ፤ የስልጠናው ዋናው ዓላማም የኢትዮጵያን ቱሪስት አስጎብኚ ባለሙያዎች ማኅበር አባላት የጂኦ-ሳይት ፣ ጂኦ-ቱሪዝም እና ጂኦ-ፓርኮች ፅንሰ-ሀሳብ ዙሪያ ግንዛቤ መፍጠር እና የጂኦ-ፓርክ ምዝገባ መስፈርት ፣ ሒደት እና ምዝገባ ፋይዳ ማሳየት ነበር፡፡

በመጨረሻም ማኅበራችን ለኢትዮጵያ ቱሪዝም ሚኒስቴር መሥሪያ ቤት በአጭር ጊዜ ጥያቄ ለለገሰን አዳራሽ እና የሻይ ቡና እረፍት መስተንግዶ ፤ እንዲሁም ከተጣበበ ጊዜያቸው ላይ በማመቻቸት በነፃ ስልጠና ለሰጡን ለፕሮፌሰር አስፋወሰን አስራት የከበረ ምስጋናውን የዕውቅና ሰርተፍኬት በመስጠት አቅርቧል፡፡

በስልጠናው ወቅት በዋናነት የኢትዮጵያ ቱሪስት አስጎብኚ ባለሙያዎች ማኅበር አባላት እና በማኅበሩ የተጋበዙ የታላቋ ኢትዮጵያ አስጎብኚ ድርጅት ባለንብረቶች ማኅበር አባል የሆኑ 100 የስልጠና ተሳታፊዎች ተገኝተዋል፡፡

📌 እናመሰግናለን

የኢትዮጵያ ዱር እንስሳት ጥበቃ ባለስልጣን 60ኛ ዓመት በዓሉን "60 ዓመታት ለኢትዮጵያ የዱር ሕይወት" በሚል መርህ በተለያዩ መንገዶች እና ፕሮግራሞች ሲያከናውን ቆይቶ እነሆ ትላንት ሐምሌ 14 ቀን 2018ዓ.ም የማጠናቀቂያ መርኃ ግብሩን በአድዋ ድል መታሰቢያ ሙዝዬም አዳራሽ በድምቀት አከናውኗል።

በዚህም የመዝጊያ መርኃ ግብር ላይ የኢፌዲሪ ፕሬዘዳንት አቶ ታዬ አፅቀሥላሴን ጨምሮ ፣ የኢፌዲሪ ቱሪዝም ሚኒስቴር ሚኒስትር ድኤታ ዶክተር እንደገና አበበ ፣ የባለስልጣኑ ዳይሬክተር አቶ ኩመራ ዋቅጅራ ፣ የዘርፉ ባለድርሻ አካላት ፣ የዓለም ዓቀፉ ዲፕሎማቲክ ማኅበረሰብ ፣ የባለስልጣኑ መሥሪያ ቤት ሠራተኞች እና የተለያዩ የክብር እንግዶች ተጋብዘው ተገኝተዋል።

ማኅበራችን የኢትዮጵያ ቱሪስት አስጎብኚ ባለሙያዎች ማኅበርም የኢትዮጵያ ዱር እንስሳት ጥበቃ ባለስልጣን 60ኛ ዓመት የማጠናቀቂያ ክብረ በዓል ላይ የተገኘ ሲሆን ፥ ማኅበሩ ከተመሠረተበት ጊዜ አንስቶ ለነበረው ላለፉት 6 ዓመታት ንቁ ተሳትፎ እና መልካም አስተዋፅዖ የዕውቅና ሠርተፍኬት ተበርክቶለታል።

ይህንን የዕውቅና እና ምስጋና ሠርተፍኬት በዕለቱ ማኅበራችንን ወክለው ከተገኙ አባላት መካከል አንዱ በነበሩት የቀድሞ ፕሬዘዳንት አቶ አሸናፊ ካሳ አማካኝነት በታላቅ አክብሮት እና ምስጋና ተቀብሏል።

📌 Training

The Ethiopian Tourist Guides Professionals Association (ETGPA) successfully organized a comprehensive and impactful training program for its members, today, 11 July 2026 from 8:30AM to 06:00PM, at Platinum Hotel (Megenagna, former Panorama Hotel).

The training featured two engaging and insightful presentations:
1. "A Scientific interpretation of Rock-Hewn Churches of Saint Lalibela" presented by Mr. Kidanemariam Wolde-Giorgis, offering participants a deeper understanding of one of Ethiopia's most remarkable cultural and religious heritage sites through a scientific and historical lens.

2. "Principles of Photography: The Art of Storytelling" presented by Mr. Yonatan Terefe and Mr. Michael Metafaria, equipping participants with essential photography techniques and practical approaches to using visual storytelling as a powerful tool in the tour guiding profession.

The success of this training program was made possible through the dedication and generosity of many individuals and partners. First for most, we extend our deepest appreciation to our distinguished trainers (Mr. Kidanemariam Wolde Giorgis, Mr. Yonatan Terefe and Mr. Michael Metafaria) for generously sharing their expertise, professional experience and valuable time with our members.
We also express our sincere gratitude to for generously providing the training venue free of charge and for their outstanding cooperation and support.

የኢትዮጵያ ቱሪስት አስጎብኚ ባለሙያዎች ማኅበር ከተቋቋመበት ዋና ዓላማዎች መካከል የአስጎብኚነት ሙያ በሚጠይቀው ስብዕና ፣ ዕውቀት እና ክህሎት ደረጃ በዓለም ዓቀፍ መድረክ ተወዳዳሪ የሆነ በትምህርት ዕድሎች እና ዝግጅቶች የታገዘ ባለሙያ ማፍራት አንዱ ነው፡፡ይህንን ተከትሎ እጅግ ጠቃሚ ፣ አመርቂ እና ውጤታማ ስልጠና በዛሬው ዕለት ሐምሌ 4 ቀን 2018ዓ.ም (ከጠዋቱ 02፡30 - ቀኑ 12፡00) ለአባላቱ በፕላቲነም ሆቴል (መገናኛ - የቀድሞ ፓኖራማ ሆቴል) አካሄደ፡፡

1ኛ. ‹‹የቅዱስ ላሊበላ ፍልፍል አብያተ ክርስቲያናት ሳይንሳዊ ዕይታ›› በአቶ ኪዳነማርያም ወልደ ጊዮርጊስ

2ኛ. ‹‹መሠረታዊ የፎቶግራፍ ክህሎት፡ በሌንስ ታሪክ የማዋቀር ጥበብ›› በሚል ርዕስ በአቶ ዮናታን ተረፈ እና አቶ ሚካኤል መታፈሪያ የቀረበ ነበር።

ለዚህ ስልጠና መሳካት ብዙዎች ደክመዋል ፥ በዋናነት ዕውቀታችሁን እና ውድ ጊዜያችሁን ሳትሰስቱ የለገሳችሁን አሰልጣኞች አቶ ዮናታን ተረፈ ፣ አቶ ሚካኤል መታፈርያ እና አቶ ኪዳነ ማርያም ወልደ ጊዮርጊስን ፤ በቀጣይ ለዚህ ስልጠና አዳራሽ በነፃ በመስጠት ያገዙን እና የተባበሩንን የፕላቲነም ሆቴልን ፤ በመጨረሻም የዘወትር ኩራታችን የሆናችሁ ውድ አባላቶቻችንን እጅግ አድርገን እናመሰግናለን፡፡
