GEINNOVA PRESENTS THE TOOLKIT AND THE TRAIN THE TRAINER METHOLOGY AT THE SHE@CYBER WORKSHOP HELD IN ZARAGOZA, SPAIN.

On 14 October 2025, the “Train the trainer event” was organized to raise awareness among participants and partners about the importance of women in cybersecurity and to promote their inclusion. 🌍

The event used a mix of presentations, demonstrations and interactive discussions to keep participants engaged and active.💪

During the session, we also had the opportunity to hear from a cybersecurity expert who provided a series of practical ideas to follow in everyday life to deal with hacking problems and resources created by the project such as Toolkit and train the trainer methodology: 💻✨

- adoption guidance for trainers;

- practical implementation of the 5 modules concerning respectively fundamentals and business resilience, emerging technologies and their impact, theory of Cyber-attacks and measures taken to defend, ethical and social implications and professional soft skills.

🔒 The SHE@CYBER journey is reaching its final chapter!

As the project moves toward completion, our partners are working on the last steps to bring everything together from the interactive platform to the training materials that empower women and underrepresented groups in cybersecurity. 💻✨

This November, we’ll meet in Cyprus for the final project meeting, which will include a closing conference where we’ll proudly present the project’s results and impact. 🌍💪

Stay tuned for more updates as we wrap up this inspiring journey!

A recent survey reveals that while most European companies recognize cybersecurity as a priority, many still struggle to find qualified professionals. More than half of organizations report difficulties hiring experts due to a lack of candidates and limited resources.

👉 But here’s the most striking fact: in many workplaces across Europe, there are still no women in cybersecurity roles. This underlines both the urgent need for skilled professionals and the opportunity to make the sector more inclusive and diverse.

At SHE@CYBER, we believe that empowering women with digital and cybersecurity skills is not just about equality - it’s about building a stronger, more resilient Europe. 💪🌍

🔐 Proofpoint Ushers in a New Era of Cybersecurity with Integrated AI Agents
Proofpoint has announced the launch of its first platform with agentic AI for Human Communications Intelligence (HCI), shifting the focus from simple post-event analysis to real-time prevention of communication risks.
This innovation is designed for regulated environments and sectors where compliance, security, and data governance are essential.

🔍 What This Technological Evolution Brings

Proofpoint’s AI agents reason rather than simply react: they interpret the intent behind communications (email, chat, collaboration tools, cloud, chatbots) across more than 80 channels, enabling detection of AI misuse, risky behaviors, and hidden threats.

Introduction of the Proofpoint Secure Agent Gateway, which governs how corporate AI agents access data, enforcing policies and automatically “censoring” sensitive information before it is shared.

The new system integrates with Proofpoint’s risk-management and insider-threat solutions, allowing continuous correlation of communications, user activity, and risk signals.

🌐 How SHE@CYBER Addresses the Topic
The arrival of agentic AI in cybersecurity underscores the importance of a proactive, preventive approach.
The SHE@CYBER training program supports organizations in adopting these new technologies responsibly, developing practical skills to:

- recognize and mitigate risks linked to AI usage;

- strengthen digital security culture;

- integrate governance and compliance strategies from the early stages of processes;

- ensure people and technologies work together to create a safe and inclusive ecosystem.

🔐 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲: 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬

According to a recent 𝐈𝐒𝐂𝟐 report, women now make up 𝟐𝟑% of the global cybersecurity workforce with the number rising to 𝟐𝟔% among professionals under 30. That’s progress worth celebrating!

But the data also highlights ongoing challenges:
𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬: Only 7% of women in the field hold executive-level positions like CTO or CISO.

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: Women have been disproportionately affected by layoffs, budget cuts, and hiring freezes.

𝐏𝐚𝐲 𝐠𝐚𝐩: On average, women earn $𝟓,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 than their male counterparts and the gap widens at senior levels.

These numbers are a powerful reminder that while things are moving forward, there’s still a long way to go toward true inclusion and equity in cybersecurity.
