🫒 AGRIMED Project – Final Meeting Day 2: Visit to Miluma Olive Oil Mill 🇪🇺🌿
On the second day of the AGRIMED Erasmus+ final meeting, partners continued discovering the richness of Mediterranean gastronomy through a very special visit to an olive oil producer facility.
The group visited Miluma, located in Cañete de las Torres, where the owner, Estrella, warmly welcomed us and explained the full process of olive oil production, from the harvesting of olives from the trees to the final high-quality product.
During the visit, participants also learned how Miluma applies the principles of the circular economy in its daily work. Nothing goes to waste: the company makes full use of its resources and produces not only olive oil, but also products such as soap, hand cream and other natural items. In addition, Miluma also cultivates legumes, showing a strong commitment to local production, sustainability and responsible use of the land.
At the end of the visit, Estrella prepared a traditional desayuno molinero, allowing participants to enjoy local flavours in an authentic setting. The group also took part in a tasting of three different types of olive oil, learning more about their characteristics, aromas and connection with the Mediterranean Diet.
This activity was fully aligned with the objectives of the AGRIMED project, promoting Mediterranean products, sustainable gastronomy, local agriculture, circular economy and cultural exchange.
