🌈 Visibility creates change.

As part of the RainbowUP research phase, GLAS Foundation explored the experiences and challenges faced by LGBTQI+ young people in Bulgaria.

The findings highlighted the ongoing impact of discrimination, social exclusion and stereotypes on young people's wellbeing, as well as the need for safer spaces, positive representation and accessible support.

💡 These insights are helping shape two key outcomes of the RainbowUP project:

📖 The RainbowUP Handbook, a practical resource to help youth workers and organisations create more inclusive environments.

📱 The RainbowAPP, launching in September 2026, which will provide information, resources and support opportunities for LGBTQI+ youth.

✨ During Pride Month, we celebrate visibility, inclusion and the power of representation to create positive change.

🌈 Safe spaces can change lives.

For many LGBTQI+ young people, having a space where they feel heard, respected and accepted can make a real difference.

Research conducted within the RainbowUP project highlighted the importance of inclusive environments, supportive relationships and access to reliable information for LGBTQI+ youth across Europe.

💜 That's why RainbowUP is developing practical tools to support inclusion and empowerment:

📖 The RainbowUP Handbook, designed to help youth workers and organisations create safer and more inclusive spaces.

📱 The RainbowAPP, launching in September 2026, will provide information, resources and support opportunities for LGBTQI+ youth.

✨ Because inclusion starts with listening, understanding and taking action.

🤝 Partner Spotlight: SCI Austria

SCI Austria is more than just a project partner. Through its long-standing commitment to peace, inclusion and human rights, it has played a key role in the RainbowUP research phase.

🌍 Through interviews conducted with LGBTQI+ young people and youth workers, SCI Austria highlighted how many young people still face challenges linked to family pressure, social stigma and limited access to institutional support.

💡 These valuable insights are helping shape two of RainbowUP’s key results:

📖 The RainbowUP Handbook, designed to support youth workers and organisations in creating safer and more inclusive environments.

📱 The RainbowAPP, launching in September 2026, which will provide information, resources and support opportunities for LGBTQI+ youth.
