This mornings meeting was at Pilar de la Horadada. A good turnout of Detectorists and we all did rather well, but boy or boy at 9 o’clock when that sun came up it was hot 🥵…then coffee ☕️ time and a good chat 💬

Wednesdays meeting was at Cala Capitan. It was a great turnout of Detectorist but very few finds between us, once again someone had beaten us to it. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our second new member this month, Anthony Travers a.k.a. TT.
Anthony is from the Republic of Ireland, Limerick to be more precise, where he spent 45 years of his life working as a pipe layer and leak Detectorist for the local water board. Anthony was in charge of the digger.( a big shovel.). We would like to welcome you to the club and the family and as I say to everyone, let’s hope we have many years of happy detecting.

Last Fridays meeting was at Torre La Mata and a good time was had by all. We would like to introduce Peter originally from Berkshire who has a holiday home in Playa Flamenca, who worked for 25 years down under, that’s the underground in London😁He’s been a Detectorist for a couple of years and we would like to welcome him to the family, here’s to many years of good detecting. He nearly went to the dark side, but in the end he saw the light.( private joke.)

Wednesday’s meeting was at La Zenia. A great turnout of lads and a good morning detecting. Perry, AKA golden balls, was last on the beach and had four amazing fines one after another. Coffee time was at the café on the road down to the beach, had a great crack with the lads, was a really was a good morning. Pics courtesy of JB, VC..

Last Friday’s meeting was at Mil Palmeras. Really windy day this morning and quite cold. For anyone who knows that beach only a couple of years ago there was a small stream which divided the beach into two sections, the stream was barely 3 foot wide, now that stream has grown into a lake probably about 20 foot across. The water, obviously, is coming down the channel from the storm drains, not too bad detecting wise, but quite obvious that a lot of people had been detected in there before us.
